Nynaeve was talking about Mat, but first we get an odd few pages of him being a jerk to all three of them, and suddenly I remember what turned me off him in the first place. I’d hoped being freed from the dagger would help this, but apparently not. They finally get around to telling him what they want, and give him one of the free passes to get him out of the city. He’ll also need money, but figures he can do some gambling along the way. So there’s a new subplot for the works.
Another one without much to talk about as it’s just there to set up a third plot thread (maybe fourth, if you count Rand’s barely mentioned exploits). But it’s still nice just to see these people together again, even if Mat wrecks things a bit with how rude he is to them all after they saved his ass.
