[Turn 2] - Mistakes Were Made

Note: Sorry for the delay between 1 and 2, family and uni decided to amp it up around Easter and I had to put the LP on hold. But now I’m back! Turn 2 was actually written at the same time as turn 1 but I felt it was too short to be released on its own.

The Council Of Nobles gave me a task: capture the rebel settlement of York. Well, dur. I was already planning on doing that but thanks for offering to pay me for the honour.

I mobilise my army (if you can call it that) on the mainland and have them lay siege to the rebel city of Rennes. It’s sooner than I would have liked but a French army just appeared and they seemed a little too interested in the place. We may be on good terms at the moment but the only advantage I actually have over the French is that I’m on an island and they have no port towns. Rennes is a port town. Unfortunately, I forgot to merge that army with the forces from Caen so I now have two armies roaming around down there. They’ll meet up next turn though so it should all be fine.

Thanks to the council of nobles I brought forward my plans for York. It is now being sieged by the forces of Prince Rufus. Again, the idiot in me forgot to merge my forces before sending them to attack so I’m really hoping that they don’t counter-attack before the reinforcements get there. As it stands it’s a Mexican Standoff. I could probably crush them, but them being in a city means that my numbers won't help me and I could not only lose the battle and my faction heir, but I’ll also leave my defences (such as they are) wide open to a Scottish invasion from the North.

Construction on my ports is almost done, so I line up a drill square for Caen and land clearance for Nottingham. The next few turns should be quite eventful; I’m just hoping that I don’t screw up... again.
