Can the Desert Swordsman take on one of Begnion's finest?

The answer is yes. But first, the party must face down the last line of defense that the disciples can offer! Stefan and Mordecai have reached B support, by the way.

Chapter 4-E-2 - Rebirth: Finished.

Ike: Duked it out with the Black Knight, he stopped him from having it his way by running around and avoiding him until the rest of the party could take out Levail. After that, he fought the BK and defeated him after a couple of turns of traded blows.

Party: Soren, Mist and Jill took care of the center, attacking Levail's main guard while Stefan and Mordecai took out the eastern reinforcements and Laura and Aran took out the western group. They remained at their posts for a bit, taking out any reinforcements from their area, until more foes came in from Levail's position and Laura and Stefan ran down to assist, leaving their partner to take care of the still spawning backup from the sides. There was less trouble now that I had some bearings on the enemies strength, and the groups kept healthy and were able to outlast the reinforcements, although many of their weapons were near to breaking. Once every last reinforcement was taken care of and all other foes were defeated, Stefan went to fight Levail.

Levail: Fought against Stefan, the two battling it out with their SS ranked weapons. Levail attacked first and hit, followed by two strikes from Stefan, another hit when Stefan attacked him on the player phase, followed by a counter from Levail, and finally a critical hit to end the fight.

Vs Levail: "Face me in an honorable duel, and know that I shall be the one to take your life."

Stefan sheathed his Killing Edge as he walked up to the lanceman before him, drawing his Vague Katti, to match his foes equally well crafted spear.

Sounds like fun.

Stefan charged, sword at his hip as he swung his blade laterally even as the Wishblade tore into Stefan's left arm. The slash dug into Levail, cutting through his breastplate, and Stefan quickly pulled his sword free, following his first attack with another strike at Levail's spear arm, slicing into it and forcing the man to pull back his weapon. Stefan attacked once again, pulling his blade back and shifting his stance, preparing a thrust and using his wounded arm to keep Levail's shield at bay. As his blade pierced the sentinels shoulder, Stefan made sure to keep a tight grip on the Vague Katti's hilt, since Levail sent him flying back with a powerful sweep of his spear, the tip cutting across Stefans chest. Both men were breathing hard, and as Stefan climbed to his feet, he felt exhilarated. This was a good fight, and he was resolved to win this fight, just as his foe was. The two readied their weapons, and Stefan charged once again, Levail waiting to stop the attack. As a powerful thrust flew forth, Stefan ducked to the left and came up beneath Levail's guard, drawing his sword across his foes stomach as he passed by him, the stroke of his blade ending the soldiers life.

Stefan swung his blade to clean it before sheathing it, as he mused over what other foes the goddess had waiting for them.

Up Next: The final interlude, where I will share what weapon each person is going to have blessed, as well as the usual information.

Comment Question: For those who've played this chapter, do you normally go to fight Levail and stall for time with the Black Knight, or do you just beat the BK and get the fight over with?

I always bring Nephenee along with me for this level, yeah, stall.

It's a 1-2 range lance with +3 luck, why the hell should I let it be abandoned?
