Sacred Stones is weird to Liveblog.

So, before this all gets started, I'd like to share some relevant information. Sacred Stones is a bit odd, since it features a free world map, as well as skirmishes and extra dungeons. Thus, it's a bit less linear than the other games, and as such, I will share how I plan to actual liveblog what happens. I will not fight in skirmishes (never had to before, won't need to now), and I will not liveblog anything in the Tower of Valni (which would only be grinding on the first floor for trainee units) because those floors are rather easy and would just be boring for everyone. I will liveblog everything through the main story, and once I beat the game and unlock the Creature Campaign, I will go through the Lagdou ruins and slay everything in there. There is on bit of contention here, which will be covered in the comment question. Also, because the lords are not actually required to beat the game (aside from their usefulness as an Item Caddy and necessity to be brought), they will not always be part of the party, be it in Sacred Stones or in Blazing Sword. They will be treated like Marth was in Shadow Dragon and New Mystery, when not in the party, as an example. Also, because normal mode of Sacred Stones is a bit too easy, I plan on doing all runs of Sacred Stones on Hard Mode.

Prologue - The Fall of Renais: Finished.

Eirika: Killed everyone without getting hit. Weapon Triangle at work.

Chapter 1 - Escape!: Finished.

Eirika & Seth: Seth picks up Eirika, both to protect her and to hamper himself, so as to assist Franz without killing any mooks who could be valuable experience. He ran to the northern forest near where he started, and hid there with his sword, meeting only one fighter who took a near fatal hit from him. After Franz cleared away all the mooks, he put down Eirika near the gate and prepared to help Franz deal with the boss.

Franz: The first party member, he took on almost every foe by himself. After entering the map, he took out a soldier with ease using a lance, got bashed up by a horde of foes hitting him, and ran to a fort to heal with a Vulnerary, and drew his sword. All but one of the remaining mooks fell to him there, and he took out the last soldier near Breguet soon after.

Breguet: Surprisingly tough, for the first boss. Seth put down Eirika nearby, and then waited in front of Breguet, using his steel sword to weaken the boss a bit for Franz. Once Seth gets out of the way, Franz rides over and finishes Breguet off with two thrusts of his iron lance.

Afterwards: Eirika and Tana have a nice reunion, before striking out for Frelia castle. Eirika then negotiates with Hayden for a bit, before he reveals that Fado died in the attack on Renais. Hayden offers her sanctuary in Frelia, but Eirika wishes to find her brother, who even now fights Grado, and so she sets out with some aid sent by Hayden in the form of Vanessa, Gilliam, and Moulder, a supply convoy, and 5000 gold. Eirika and Tana wonder what has caused all this chaos all of a sudden, before Eirika sets out.

Up Next: We help a pair of villagers deal with some bandits who are terrorizing the area because of the chaos of the war.

Comment Question: A couple this time. First, I mentioned up top that I wasn't going to go through the Tower of Valni. Would you guys prefer that I did? If you'd like me to, I can go through that really quickly, I just don't think it'd be that entertaining to read. As for the Lagdou ruins, would you guys know if every floor of the ruins is available during the main story? If they are, then would you prefer I did that before or after finishing the main story?

You should probably skip the Tower. The game might be decently challenging without it. Same with the Ruins, as recruiting the characters will need a new game and I can't see much point to it otherwise.

Alright, so I will be skipping the tower, as expected. Since it seems the ruins aren't drawing much interest, I might skip those in the liveblog as well, it depends on how things are at the end of the game, but I'm leaning towards skipping them. Thanks for the input.

Skip the tower.

As for the ruins, I'd do it after the main story, but I don't care if you do it or not. So it's your choice. I am pretty sure you can't completely finish either until you beat the game, but I may be wrong on the tower.
