...They are gonna make me choose between the clerics and my party, aren't they?

Didn't have that large a party before (and I was using some of the needed characters) so I forgot about this little issue. Because of this, I choose to leave behind Wolf, Sheema, Robert, and Warren in order to fit in those who will save the clerics. This is a fairly short chapter, so, losing them won't be too detrimental, but it's kinda disappointing.

Endgame - Light and Shadow: Finished.

Base: A lot of stuff happens in here, since this is the final chapter and all. No new talks, though that's likely because they are all finished. How's Everyone yields a speed potion, a blunt sword, an ember tome, and a strength and skill boost for Sirius (only relevant because he'll be joining us for this one chapter). I then go through the drill grounds with everyone who isn't level 20, and max out the levels of everyone in the party. Here are the stats of everyone in the party at level 20. Asterisks mean they are capped in that stat, and Bolded names are the ones who will participate in the final battle.

  • Lyra, Sniper: 54 hp, 24* str, 12 mag, 30* skill, 29* spd, 26 luck, 23* def, 3 res.
  • Gordin, Sniper: 56 hp, 24* str, 1 mag, 24 skill, 29* spd, 22 luck, 20 def, 3 res.
  • Ryan, Sniper: 59 hp, 24* str, 1 mag, 30* skill, 27 spd, 17 luck, 23* def, 3 res.
  • Warren, Horseman: 54 hp, 24* str, 1 mag, 28* skill, 26 spd, 15 luck, 22 def, 3 res.
  • Norne, Sniper: 57 hp, 24* str, 1 mag, 29 skill, 29* spd, 19 luck, 22 def, 3 res.
  • Horace, General: 51 hp, 26 str, 1 mag, 21 skill, 21* spd, 13 luck, 29 def, 3 res.
  • Jake, Warrior: 54 hp, 30* str, 0 mag, 21 skill, 24* spd, 26 luck, 16 def, 3 res.
  • Jeorge, Sniper: 44 hp, 21 str, 1 mag, 20 skill, 22 spd, 14 luck, 18 def, 3 res.
  • Robert, Horseman: 47 hp, 24* str, 13 mag, 25 skill, 27 spd, 21 luck, 12 def, 4 res.
  • Sheema, General: 45 hp, 24 str, 1 mag, 22 skill, 21* spd, 24 luck, 24 def, 4 res.
  • Wolf, Horseman: 50 hp, 24* str, 1 mag, 22 skill, 22 spd, 20 luck, 16 def, 3 res.

I give the Parthia to Lyra, a brave bow to Gordin, Ryan's bow (as well as a longbow) to, well, Ryan, the Mercurius to Warren, the Gradivus to Horace, a Killer bow to Norne, and the Hauteclare to Jake. And so we begin the final battle!

Marth, Sirius, Merric, Julian, & Minerva: Hid behind the main party until they had made enough ground, and then rescued the clerics.

Nyna, Elice, Maria, & Lena: Were snapped out of their trance, and after regaining themselves, began healing the party, wounded from the earlier combat with Medeus's dragons.

Party: Protected those who would free the clerics, pushing slowly through the dragons, until they had reached the main shrine. Warren, Norne, and Ryan then cleared out the dragons who had spawned on the turn that the clerics were to be freed, while the remainder of the party went for Medeus, to put him to death once and for all.

Medeus: Fought with Gordin and Lyra, with the brave bow (one hit, one miss, and two criticals) and Parthia (one hit and one critical) ripping through his scales and slaying him for the final time.

Up Next: This leaves only the Epilogue to be covered, which will happen tomorrow, as will the voting for the next game to be liveblogged!

Wow, your units have come along nicely. They are all really strong, from what I can tell. Good job!

I admit part of it is that the units in this game actually have really good growths (probably meant to make up for the ass-tacular growths of Shadow Dragon), so they all grew well. I will say that I liked how usable everyone was, even the usually lackluster Jeorge and Horace.
