...I swear to god My Units reaction to Xane was funnier.

I distinctly remember My Unit reacting to Xane's little trick at the end with "Ah! A Crossdresser!" Maybe it was because my first MU was a guy, but Lyra simply said "W-what!? The little girl is now a man!". Not nearly as funny as the other one to me, but I suspect it's due to MU's gender.

Chapter 11 - Anri's Way: Finished.

Base: No new conversations as of now, although we learn from Caeda that our old pal Jake is here! How's Everyone reveals a Glass Sword and Toy Bow, and nothing else. Horace is a bit more properly equipped, and is given the Virgo starshard. Warren, Lyra, and Norne, who all reached level 20 in the previous chapter, are promoted into a Horseman, and a pair of Snipers respectively. Warren is then reclassed into a warrior for the chapter to avoid dealing with the deserts annoying effects, but the change is wholly temporary.

Treasures: One of every statbooster was obtained (plus a few other nice things from drops, such as a Master Sword and an extra energy drop), as well as a Lady Sword and an Elysian Whip.

Marth: Visited the secret shop as the party cleared the desert of its inhabitants, and purchased two of every specialized sword, lance, and axe save for the lord weapons (for obvious reasons, no bows in there sadly). He then seized after a long walk to the throne, emptied by Jake.

Caeda: Stayed hidden until all northern enemies were slain, and then recruited Jake. After that, she flew off and dug up the Elysian Whip near the throne.

Party: Fanned out through the desert, dealing with all foes in the same way; luring them out and then pumping them full of arrows. Ryan, Lyra, and Warren headed north, Horace and Jeorge headed west, and Gordin and Norne headed northwest, squashing all resistance with relative ease. The human foes were too weak to pose a threat, and the wyvern foes either charged too early, essentially self-destructing as they entered the range of the archers, or only got off one attack before getting their wings clipped. Gathered treasure along the way, and made sure to get everything.

Jake: Joined partway through, and cleaned up many of the remaining foe, including the boss wyvern. I note that he starts with low stats, but is very reminiscent of Shinon from Path of Radiance and Sedgar and Wolf from the previous game (though they took their role to a bit of an extreme); A rare pre-promoted growth unit, starting with low bases but ending up good due to gaining stats over time. Anyway, he cleaned house, and will be joining the already fairly large party, just as he did before.

Savage Wyvern Guardian: Defeated by Jake with a single Killer Bow critical, since while all dragon units are fierce, they all lack ranged attacks save for Earth Dragons, and these ones in particular are vulnerable to bows, which we obviously have in abundance.

Afterwards: Xane gets some yucks impersonating Tiki and freaking out Lyra, and then agrees to lead us to Gotoh.

Up Next: Graveyard of Dragons, where we meet the next breed of dragon, one we've seen once before...

Interesting Trivia: Jake replaces what in the original Mystery was the game's sole Berserker. Oddly enough, Berserker in Old Mystery was basically a Hero with a different map sprite, if I recall.

So Darros didn't return in Old Mystery? Or was he a different class? Of course, I could see the former situation being more likely, since he just decides to show up in the middle of a dragon infested cave, which seems rather odd.

Yeah, Darros, Wrys, Jake, Beck, and Roger weren't in Mystery. Like, at all. They weren't even in Book 1.

Tomas, Radd, and Caesar weren't in Book 2, but were in Book 1.

There are probably some I am forgetting, but like I said, I forgot who they were.

Huh. That's pretty odd. Obviously, the Gaiden characters from Shadow Dragon also didn't show up in Old Mystery, but I wouldn't expect so many previous units from the original game to be no-shows in Old Mystery.
