Jake comin' in here with them mad skillz.

Ballistae make the mages lack of movement cost a non-issue, and while his slow movement meant the others still did a bit, his sniping was a great boon.

Chapter 15 - An Oasis of Magic: Finished.

Base: Units were given more weapons, and the generic unit that we were gifted with, a sage by the name of Unil, will be joining the party for a very special mission; Gharnef bait. She is reclassed into a bishop for this task, as it affords a nice resistance boost. Sedgar and Wolf were also reclassed into Horsemen since their defenses are no longer as needed what with all the mages, and the movement will help take down foes before they can reach us in some cases.

Gharnef: Acted all scary for six turns, Unil blocking him for two of those turns, and everyone else using the distraction to get far enough away that once his final turn wound down, no one was wounded by him.

Marth: Grabbed the treasure (an Energy Drop and a Talisman) once the coast was clear, bought some more silver bows, and then seized.

Jake: Sniped foes coming from every direction, providing some wiggle room for the others in case multiple threats were incoming.

Snipers: Norne, Gordin, and Jeorge took care of the eastern side of the desert, clearing up the reinforcement mages from the treasure room and the incoming wyvern riders. They used their decent movement in the sands to cover the more desert-y area, and allowed Marth to reach the treasure safely.

Navarre: Didn't do much, since his low movement and Jake's sniping meant there really wasn't much to do.

Horsemen: Ogma, Wolf, and Sedgar took care of the western desert, luring out and taking down any mages that Jake left behind or couldn't take down in one shot. They hung out south of the castle though, since the desert stopped them from advancing much.

Barst: His less hindered movement in the desert came in handy, since he joined the horsemen in their area, and then once all the foes were finished, he ran up and took out the generic enemy boss with a well placed critical.

Levels: Gordin 3+; Norne 3+; Ogma 3+; Barst 20; Navarre 20; Wolf 10+; Sedgar 11+; Jeorge 6+, doing rather poorly. His strength is so low that Norne (who isn't weak, but only has 15 strength) can OHKO with an Iron Bow an enemy he can't OHKO with a Silver Bow. I'll keep him for now, but if he becomes a liability due to bad bases and growths, I'll likely introduce him to the bench. Jake 9.

Up Next: The Battle for Altea, where I will hopefully get the last two master seals I need to promote Navarre and Barst. At least one master seal is assured.

For some reason it pains me to see Jeorge doing so badly. I knew it was coming, yet it still somehow pains me.

I think it's because Jeorge is a cool guy.

Yeah, I was hoping Jeorge would turn out at least somewhat good in this, but sadly he's woefully average. It's rather disappointing, since he is pretty cool. Thankfully, he's much better come New Mystery, and I know he's gonna get a spot on my team.
