Wil's chuming it up with everyone!

Finishing both of his support lines for this run, he sadly will not finish his Lyn support to A, due to conversation limits. Such a pity, really.

Pale Flower of Darkness - Kenneth Edition: Finished.

Base: Sold some extraneous items I was never going to use, such as light wards and pure waters, and then handed the Afa's Drops to Lyn, since she was going to be delivering them to our newest ally later on.

Eliwood: Hid by Merlinus for a while as a mage and bishop pelted him with siege magic. He took a few hits, but was able to last until the two could be taken down. He then ran away when wyverns appeared next to Merlinus, and Florina had to fly in to save him. Once everything was said and done, he seized and ended the chapter.

Lyn & Florina: Stayed near the southern part of the fortress, waiting at the main gate for our new friend to appear. Lyn took some potshots at some mages past the gate, and with Florina she defended Merlinus and Eliwood from some wyvern riders. After turn 10 wound down, however, it turned out that our new ally was far to the north, where Wil and the others were. Florina ferried Lyn north, where she recruited Karel, the Sword Demon. Befitting his name, as well as his formidable reputation in the future, he is given the Afa's Drops to bolster his already solid growths.

Wil, Dart, Legault, Lucius, & Heath: Headed north, through the small pass between the side chambers and the main base, aiming to take the side entrance and crush all opposition along the way. Once they reached the main gate, having killed the purge bishop through the wall and pushed through the wyvern riders, they split up. Wil and Dart headed toward the small room to the northwest, housing a druid and shamans, who were swiftly dispatched. Legault and Heath entered the building quickly, defeating the few guards posted. Heath then eyed down a staircase where a few mages soon spawned, crushing them instantly, while Legault helped himself to the Talisman, Blue Gem, and Guiding Ring which were stored here. Lucius headed south, and healed Eliwood of his wounds from the siege tomes, before joining Lyn and Florina in the trip back north. When Karel appeared near these guys, Heath caught him before he could go do any damage, and waited for Lyn and Florina to reach them before dropping his charge.

Supports: Wil and Dart (A), and Wil and Lyn (B)!

  • Dart: ...Now I've found you,you stinking bow-plucker!
  • Wil: Whoa! Look! Behind you!
  • Dart: What!?
  • Wil: Are you OK?
  • Dart: You idiot! On your right!
  • Wil: Whoa! ...Phew. That was close! Thanks. You're Dart, right?
  • Dart: Snrk! I wasn't trying to help you, squid-bait! Just forget about it... But wait...you did save me first... So think of it as payback!
  • Wil: ...Hmmm.
  • Dart: What!?
  • Wil: You know, Dart, you really do look like Dan. It's just so hard to imagine you're not him...
  • Dart: Not that again! Who is this guy!? Who is Dan!?
  • Wil: Dan was my childhood fr... He was my best friend... We left home together five years ago, but it didn't go too well. Last time I saw him was back in Badon...
  • Dart: Five years ago? In Badon, you say...
  • Wil: That's right.
  • Dart: ... Naw...couldn't be...
  • Wil: What? Do you know something?
  • Dart: ...Well, about five years ago, Fargus pulled into port at Badon, and a young man had collapsed on the pier... He was bleeding pretty badly... They say it was a miracle he lived at all.
  • Wil: What!!
  • Dart: Everyone in town just pretended not to notice... And no wonder... That day was a holy day for Elimine's flock. They were forbidden any contact with blood... And the sailors... Well, you know how superstitious they are... That man lay there, half alive, for six hours...
  • Wil: That's terrible...
  • Dart: Then the taboo lifted, and someone picked him up, just in time... ...It was the leader of the pirates that work out of Badon. Well, that young man recovered, but as if in exchange for his life, he had lost all of his memories...
  • Wil: Dart, you don't think...
  • Dart: I don't know, I don't know... ...It's just a story I've heard around...

  • Wil: Dearest Mother and Father, I am sure you are both quite well as I write this... No, that's not how to begin... Hrm...
  • Lyn: Wil? What is it? You've been mumbling over there for a while...
  • Wil: L-L-Lady Lyndis!
  • Lyn: Well, you'd think I was a monster come to eat you! Say, did you ever write that letter?
  • Wil: Actually, that's what I was about to do, you see...
  • Lyn: Wil!
  • Wil: Ayee! H-Hey! It's tough, you know! I mean, I haven't been home in five years. What do I say?
  • Lyn: Five years!?
  • Wil: Yes, well, a lot has happened...
  • Lyn: But when I met you in Bern, didn't you say you were on your way home?
  • Wil: Ah... You remember that?
  • Lyn: Wil!
  • Wil: C-C'mon, give me a break! Why should I go home? My parents don't care either way.
  • Lyn: ...Is that true?
  • Wil: Huh?
  • Lyn: Nothing. ...Sorry for pushing you so.
  • Wil: Lady Lyndis?

Kenneth: Fought Karel, who used his Wo Dao to swiftly put an end to the fight, striking a critical hit, sustaining a hit in return, and ending the battle with a critical.

Vs Kenneth: Karel approached the hawkish bishop who stood in front of the throne, sizing up the foe he had come to hunt.

"I can see it in his eyes; he understands the joy of the feast of combat, but he feasts lazily. He is slow, gluttonous, and indecisive. He shall only be a small morsel, to tide over my hunger."

Karel struck before the bishop could even begin reading his tome. In a flash of cold steel, he had struck, and it was all Kenneth could do to avoid immediate death. As it was, Karel's blizzard of slashes tore apart the Shrike's limbs, and he fell to the floor, barely holding a kneel with his staff. Karel seemed to reappear where he had just been before his assault, as though he had never moved. As Karel approached once more, Kenneth quickly incanted his Aura spell, sending a spiraling pillar of light toward where he expected Karel to be. The pillar crashed down, and an enormous explosion of light flew from it, the sheer size of it catching Karel in the side as he disappeared from the Shrike's view. Kenneth did not have time to search for his foe, for he was preoccupied by a blade protruding from his sternum, before he could see no more.

Afterwards: The Lords discover Kenneth was holding the Fire Emblem, and make haste to try to stop the assassination of Zephiel. Meanwhile, Sonia is a bitch to Nino, and Nino sets out with Jaffar to kill the prince of Bern. Sonia then tells Jaffar to kill Nino once everything is done so that she doesn't have to make good on those promises to give her affection.

Up Next: Battle Before Dawn, where we interrupt an assassination attempt by Ursula and assist two reformed assassins before they get killed.
