A rather spontaneous addition, but I quite like him.

Legault has joined the party, surprising even me, since I figured why not add him. He's a cool dude, and I already know who I'm supporting him with.

Chapter 20 - A New Resolve: Finished.

Base: Sold some extra gems that I had noticed, and stripped the thieves of their spoils, moving Legault up to the top of the party, since he's a new member! Handed Dart a new axe, fully equipped Legault with a couple swords, and handed Florina an iron sword, since she has a date with destiny to fulfill.

Eliwood & Ninian: Stayed by Merlinus and rode out the assault, visiting the villagers to warn them and collect their rewards, namely a restore staff and a light rune.

Party: Advanced forward, taking down the initial cavaliers and monks who assailed them. Legault took the lead, enjoying much of the experience, with Lucius and Wil assisting as two other people who could level up, while the others only took out any immediate threats. Upon reaching the entrance to Badon, the party waited for challengers, while Florina flew off to receive an Elsyian Whip from the villager who lived in the northeastern house. And get this; while Legault was playing a game of back and forth with some monks and a hand axe bandit, some brigand with a poison axe runs up and hits him with a five percent chance. Quite uncouth, if I do say so myself. Regardless, Legault continued toying with them, slowly picking them off, while Lucius enjoyed the extra staff experience. Florina during this whole time picked up the wyrmslayer from the southeastern villager, while Wil and Dart felled any of the wyverns who appeared. After the cavalier and knight reinforcements spawned, the promoted units and Legault teamed up to take them on. They fell soon enough, and Wil hopped into the ballista to pick off the bandit who hid just inside Oleg's range.

Oleg: Growing tired of waiting, he advanced upon Legault, who was waiting for him just out of reach. Legault danced around him in the dark for a while, avoiding his attacks and cutting him up with his iron sword (more experience that way) for about four rounds, until eventually he was weak enough to cut down in one hit with the steel sword.

Vs Oleg: Legault stepped forward past the gates of Badon when he saw the leader of this hunting squad approach from the shadows. He jauntily strolled toward their assailant, happy to see this was just another one of the small fry. The Black Fang hadn't sent anyone worth worrying about just yet.

"It ends here. Your journey is over, and only oblivion awaits you."

Legault wasn't one who enjoyed killing, but years of experience would belie that fact to the layman's eye. He quickly pulled forth one of his knives, and before his foe could even raise his axe, he struck, piercing the elbow joint on both sides of the warriors off hand, idsabling the limb quite thoroughly. The swing that came in retaliation was swift, but inaccurate, as the man could not use his off arm to brace the strike, and the swift thief needed only step back to avoid it. Legault leaped into the darkness of a small nearby forest, and while the steadfast warrior followed him, he fell upon him for another strike. His opponent was quick enough to block a fatal head wound, and Legault settled for a few quick stabs into Oleg's lower leg, before rolling back onto his feet and once again running off, into a different set of trees this time. Now unable to follow the thief, Oleg pulled out his bow and tried to fire it, but with his wounded arm he could not brace his bow properly and his shots all fell short, just as confused as Oleg as to the thief's position. In short order Legault struck, maneuvering through the trees to approach his foe from the side. The warrior was no fool however, and before Legault could finish him he had struck, dropping his bow, pulling out his axe, and swinging wide to scare off his assailant. Legault ducked beneath the swing, coming up within his foes guard and drawing forth a steel sword, which he used to curtly slit the warriors throat.

Afterwards: Lyn and Hector check on Eliwood and find he is alright, and has decided to mourn later, after Nergal has been slain. Eliwood suggesting visiting Uther, but Hector is not fond of the idea, and some playful teasing occurs. Marcus tells Eliwood that he has sent a letter to Lady Eleanora, only for Isadora to appear. She says Eleanora ordered her to assist Eliwood, and she came to serve Eliwood in the coming battles. Nergal orders Sonia to get the Four Fangs mobilized against the Lords, and has Limstella gather quintessence with which to heal himself.

Up Next: Kinships Bond, where we face Laus's mercenaries and defend Nils from an army armed to the teeth with reaver weapons!

Comment Question: I'm curious as to your thoughts on this Vs Section? Did you feel it kept in character with Legault? I was trying to make him appear quick and curt in his work, like a professional, while still maintaining that playfulness he seems to have. Do you feel I hit that, or did it lean to far in either direction?
