Whew... Damn near bit off more than I could chew there...

I decided to try to test the extent of Roro's endlessness, and he reached turn 20 of constantly spawning foes before I had to send Ryan to kill one of the top three Roro's. That one was the lead brother, thankfully, because otherwise I might not have made it.

Chapter 10x - The Mask Laughs: Finished.

Base: Much loot is sold, as Maris and Dice bring some pricey stuff to sell, and we recently gained some staves, a relatively useless type of weapon on this run. Conversation wise, we have Norne and Lyra (2), where Norne discovers that she had met Lyra previously when they were both younger, because Lyra carried firewood over to Norne's village from across the mountain. Jeorge and Lyra (1) has Jeorge first telling her to drop the "greatest archer" title for him, because it was just a rumor spread by his noble family for the sake of fame; he doesn't believe he's that great. Lyra then asks why Jeorge was defending Chiasmir castle, despite being an archer, and he notes the issues with that, saying that it was essentially a thinly veiled execution because Jeorge had opposed his plans. Gordin and Jeorge (1) involves Jeorge walking in on a training exercise of Gordin's, wherein he first shakes leaves from a tree with an arrow, and then pins as many leaves as possible with a second shot; his max was five. Jeorge watches, amused, and after praising Gordin's skill, shows him up with a similar feat, though he pins twelve leaves. I then put Gordin and Ryan through the Drill grounds a bit to get that last 30 exp needed for a level, and just level Norne up a couple of times to get her caught all the way up.

Horace: The poor sumbitch Roro's hunting, he is handed a bow by Marth at the nearest opportunity, and joins the party in going to work.

Party: Works fast and hard, picking apart the Roro's as they appear. They soak up a healthy amount of experience that way, and Norne, Lyra, Gordin, and Ryan all reached level 20 (only Gordin and Ryan promoted this chapter though, since by the time Lyra and Norne capped out, the Roro's required our full attention). After about turn 10 or so, I'm not quite sure when the numbers pick up, but they started appearing en masse, in numbers larger than expected. People were starting to get wounded to near death, and I didn't want to risk any deaths, so at about turn 20 I caved and Ryan snuck past a Roro brother to attack one of the top three, and got lucky.

The Real Roro: Ryan squeezed past the Roro brother that had spawned near him, and in a desperate strike, launches a critical arrow at the nearest Roro brother leader, the one in the northeastern corner of the ballroom. The arrow strikes true, and the Roro falls, apparently disabling all of the remaining Roro brothers, however many more there were.

Afterwards: We contemplate our foe, Jagen informing us that the assassin troupe leader allegedly crushed their souls while they were young, turning them into mindless, obedient drones. Marth wonders if Katarina was raised that way as well, and the scene shifts. Lyra finds a mask, but decides not to wear it, and Eremiah orders the destruction of every remaining Roro brother, which alarms Katarina, because of their previous friendship in the orphanage.

Up Next: Anri's Way, where we face a fierce desert yet again, this time filled with a different type of threat...

This has the weirdest title for any Fire Emblem stage I've ever played. Not that I pay too much attention to stage names.

You mean "The Mask Laughs"? Yeah, it's an odd chapter title, although fairly fitting, given who you're dealing with in it.

I always thought "The Mask Laughs" sounded really cool...

I agree on that. It's very fitting for Roro, and I think it sounds cool, I just think it sounds weird as well.
