Ballistae? Dracoknights? Ya'll ain't shit.

Ryan's got so much defense now that he just generally shrugs off most enemy attacks, unless they are magical or steel weapons. It's honestly pretty funny.

Chapter 5 - Liberation of Grust: Finished.

Base: There were no special talks, just the recruitment based ones and the current status one. How's Everyone yielded nothing relevant, though Marth got a speed and skill boost, so yay I guess. Ryan is given the Taurus for it's defense and strength boost, which will help him with his lower strength and make him even more sturdy than he already is (15 defense with the Taurus is awesome). Ogma and Julian join us to recruit Barst and Rickard, the former an old war buddy and the latter someone we left stranded in a jail cell in the previous game. Palla also joins us, to fulfill thief hunting duties.

Marth: Stayed hidden out of the way, until the enemies were cleared up on the path to the village. Rickard handed him the VIP Card, and he walks to the village, receiving a Hammerne, and then visiting the Secret shop to purchase a master seal once the party has cleared up that area. He then seized and ended the chapter.

Ogma & Julian: Talked to their respective recruitment person, and then led them out of the way of the enemies. Rickard gave his VIP Card to Marth before either had gone too far.

Palla: Stayed out of the way of enemies, hunting down the one escaping thief. She caught him and took him down, claiming the master seal he had stolen, and giving it to Marth to put into the convoy.

Party: Headed around the mountain bend that led to the village. They took down the mages and cavaliers in their way, though Palla needed to assist in hunting down the thief with the master seal. Once they reached the bridge, Ryan stepped forward to lure out the dracoknights waiting on the mountain. He successfully drew out two of them, but one was smarter, and circled around, aiming to get Marth and Palla. Both of them moved out of the way, so he still get to attack Warren, the most fragile member of the party, before he got filled full of arrows. Once they did away with these goons, they continued around the village, killing a thief and the cavalry that awaited them around that bend, Ryan yet again tanking all manner of attacks like a champ. After these foes were done away with, Ryan charged singlehandedly into the main enemy force near Lang's keep, killing the boss and his ballistician partner before they could do anything remotely threatening, and shrugging off their bolts with only minimal damage. Once those two were done, the rest of the party came in and dealt with the armor knights.

Toras: Got one shot in on Ryan before he closed in and took him down with two rounds of steel bow fire. Ryan claimed the Gemini, and sent it to the convoy for now.

Levels: Lyra 12; Ryan 13, this kid is made of goddamn iron; Gordin 13; Warren 13.

Up Next: We prepare to take control of the castle, and thus are finally going to finish off that bastard Lang.
