Just what I need to see.

The Wolf Guard. But before they join us, we'll need to take care of these guys first!

...Yeah that reference went nowhere fast.

Chapter 5 - Champions of Aurelis: Finished.

Base: Sold all non-bow weapons for massive profits, and added Darros, Cord, Bord, and Draug to the battle party this time, although they are only here to die for the sake of chapter 6x, waiting patiently to get sacrificed to the boss. The Wolf Guard save for Hardin, Wolf, and Sedgar will suffer the same fate, the latter two since I plan on using them, and the former one since he's technically plot relevant and I'd feel bad killing him.

Marth: Standard fare, collected a Firestone from the village.

Sedgar & Wolf: Held their own as best they could in their little mountain area, using the forests for some amount of cover. Once they were saved by the party, they rested up on some forts to heal their wounds, and then joined the party in cleaning up the reinforcements. Wolf also stocked up on Steel bows, as well as buying a few more iron bows from the nearby armory. They then joined Barst in luring out and killing Wendell and his two soldiers.

Party: Charged up to save Sedgar and Wolf, pushing through a trio of cavaliers and then shooting down a horde of foes that were aiming to crush the two of them. Once they were saved, the party set their eyes on three suspicious forts, and split up to take out any reinforcements that came through. Barst took a northeastern fort, Norne and Ogma took a northwestern fort, and Gordin and Navarre took the fort nearest Merach. Only Barst, Norne, and Ogma (the former joined by Wolf, and the latter pair joined by Sedgar later) saw any reinforcements, and once the enemies stopped spawning, everyone healed on the forts.

Merach: Killed Vyland, Bord, Cord, Roshea, Draug, and Darros. Once that's done, Wolf hands all of the party members a steel bow if they don't have one, and they use it to get past Merach's impressive defenses. He's then boss abused for a while, though not as much as Bentheon, and is soon killed.

Levels: Gordin 11, pretty solid so far; Norne 10, still low in strength, but steel bows should help; Barst 11, the greatest thing ever; Ogma 10, Barst lite; Navarre 10, basically gotten over that hump, and is now ready to start improving, though his skill is a bit low still; Sedgar 2+ (+ means promoted), still kinda weak, but he will become awesome soon enough; Wolf 3+, will become awesome as well, soon enough.

Up Next: Fire Emblem, where Julian will join us to help steal some things, and we will finally get at least one of the unstoppable generals.

Oh no, Wendell! Who will break up Merric and Elrean's feuding in Mystery of the Emblem now!

I am glad to see that everything is going smoothly.

...Julian? Thieves are allowed? Eh, I don't mind.

Oh, he's actually relevant later? Didn't know about that.

Yeah, now that the archers are stronger, they can actually stand up to the mooks and survive more than a turn or two of combat.

Julian is only allowed for thief-y things. He can't be attacked or do any sort of fighting, and will remain unarmed throughout the game. Plus, I plan on using Marth for chests after this chapter, and will only bring him if he's needed for something like doors.

I think just for recruiting Elrean though. I wouldn't worry about it.

Ah, so thieves work as they would in a draft then? OK.

Oh, okay I see.

Yeah, in any game where a thief isn't a part of the main party, the first thief you get is usually used for collecting treasures. I might not even bring him much later since Marth gets the Fire Emblem and can open treasure chests with them, so that issues out.
