Stop; THammer time!

Yes, it appears Reptor's name suffers the same thing as Alvis's F Flame spell, more properly known as Falaflame. I'm guessing the T in T Hammer means Tordo, much like the F means Fala for Falaflame?

Regardless, it's time to get down to business, since to reach Reptor and his lackey's, I'll need to trek through this desert to reach the only entrance to the area. Fury's gonna need to hunt some more siege mages, since Aida has them all placed throughout the area near Velthomer.

This is gonna be a long walk. As this goes on, I notice a few conversations becoming available between some of the lover pairs. Claude and Sylvia are the first to speak, and Claude tries to get her to leave the battle, while she adamantly refuses. The same happens when Lachesis speaks with Dew, though it's Lachesis urging him to leave. A funny thing of note, Dew says he's not a kid anymore, and Lachesis notes that she can vouch for that, "especially after what we..." and she trails off, embarrassing Dew. Aira and Holyn speak, and while their conversation is more Aira asking him if he's okay with staying, and he notes that they were childhood friends, and Aira is confused, and then it hits her. He notes that he's the son of the Duke of Sophara (explains his Odo blood), and that he's liked her from a very young age. Levin and Fury just share a rather nice talk, saying that they will return together, and that Fury wants to make her new mother-in-law proud. No more of the conversations appear for the other couples, and so the walk continues in silence.

Fury begins taking down the siege mages, hoping to be able to remove all of them while everyone else finishes their crossing. Sadly, I think a no-fly zone is gonna prevent that, but if she can, she will take them out. As it turns out, Reptor got provoked By Fury's attack on the first siege mage, so I won't need to hunt them down, since he's coming to me. Ida then appears and tells her troops to begin attacking Reptor, and all of her soldiers become yellow. I'm confused, but not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, I have Fury back off, and let Aida's troops take on Reptor's until they whittle each other down, while everyone else finish crossing the desert. Reptor learns of Ida's betrayal after seeing some of his men get crushed under flaming stones, and he begins attacking the Velthomer troops with his ranged fighters. Honestly, Ida sort of fucked up, since Reptor lost two guys in his massive force, and Ida lost just as many. The wounded were fixed up by a High Priest with a Fortify, so there isn't even that to look forward to.

The only fully crossed people so far are Levin, Fury, Holyn, Aira, Tiltyu, and Azel, so they will have to deal with the bulk of Reptor's forces. As it stands, I have Levin wait under a ridge for them to attack from afar, so as to whittle them down for the main troops. Reptor is surprisingly leading his troops (I took him for a coward), and I'm not liking that T Hammer spell of his, so I make sure Levin is the only one in range of him, Holsety in hand. Aira, Holyn, Tiltyu, Azel, Claude, Brigid, and Jamka prepare to finish off the close range foes and anyone with the sense to leave Levin be, while the remainder of the party (Dew, Beowulf, Lachesis, Sigurd, Lex, and Aideen) slowly make their way across, Sylvia waiting near the end to help them with the final steps onto solid land.

Seeing how powerful Reptor with his T Hammer tome is, I make sure everyone is out of his reach, while Levin continues to try to draw him out, his countless ranged soldiers getting in the way since Levin refuses to use Adept or Critical to kill them. Everyone else finishes crossing the desert, though they won't really be much help until Reptor falls.

Levin gets really lucky, and takes down Reptor with a critical after dodging his 70 hit chance, and the biggest threat is diffused, leaving the still sizable army (of which very few actually attacked Levin once he put on Holsety. Or they would have, if Reptor's army didn't commit mass suicide and follow their leader to the grave. I guess I just need to capture Velthomer then. As everyone begins moving towards Velthomer, I have Dew speak with Jamka (don't remember that being there, but okay then!). Jamka (rather rudely) tells him to get lost, and Dew is a bit annoyed, wondering why, despite them being close to winning, he keeps getting told that. Jamka apologizes, saying that they've all been on edge, and Dew suddenly apologizes for causing him trouble before. Jamka wonders why he suddenly got all mushy for, and Dew just says he wanted to tell him that. Jamka notes that it seems like Dew's sensing something as well. I also notice Azel and Lex can speak, and they do, Lex noting that Azel looks horrible, while Azel asks why he seems happy. He asks if he means Langbert, and Azel confirms it, Lex saying that while he would be lying if he said he felt nothing, he knows his dad had it coming for killing so many innocent people. Azel says that he's quite strong, since just being around Alvis scares him. Lex is confused by Alvis's actions, since he always was so nice to them, and Azel agrees, but notes that sometimes he feels like he doesn't even know him, and that he can get pretty violent. Lex asks if that is why he left home, and Azel confirms his guess.

With all of Velthomer neutral, I just pull everyone near the gate leading to Barhara, and then have Sigurd speak with Ida. Ida is glad to see Sigurd is unharmed, and Sigurd asks why they suddenly turned on Reptor. Ida explains that Alvis has known all along of his innocence, and that he lacked the power to stop Duke's Langbert and Reptor on his own. Sigurd is glad to hear this, and Ida says that Alvis and his Majesty are awaiting him in Barhara. She also notes that the Barharan Royal Guard are to receive them, and that it appears there will be a celebration for his return. Sigurd is elated by this, happy that he and his troops may finally end this, and in a manner fitting all they've been through.

Sigurd rides towards Alvis, his troops following behind, as they all pass by the assembled royal guards. Alvis congratulates Sigurd on his return to the motherland, and Sigurd is just as joyous, and asks where King Azmur is. Alvis says that His Majesty has become very ill, and can't even hold himself up anymore, thus granting Alvis control of the kingdoms affairs. Sigurd sympathizes with him, since that likely leaves him very busy, and apologizes for causing His Majesty the anguish that this war brought about, saying that he will formally apologize to King Azmur later on.

...The music stopped. Why did it stop when Alvis said "that won't be necessary"?

Alvis sentences Sigurd to death for his acts of treason. Alvis says that Sigurd is still guilty of conspiracy against the crown in his attempt to usurp the throne with his father. Alvis states that, as the husband of Princess Dierdre, he must subdue Sigurd. Sigurd is confused, wondering what's going on, and Alvis decides to introduce her before he kills him. Alvis explains to Dierdre that this man, Sigurd, is the one who murdered her father, and tells her to let him know how she feels. She addresses him, and Sigurd is confused as to why Dierdre is there. She asks why he speaks her like that, and Sigurd is both amazed and crushed to have found her here. She asks if he knows her, and Sigurd almost tells her that he had married her, but Alvis tells her to step back, since Sigurd is dangerous, and must be punished. Dierdre pleads for more time to speak with him (c'mon, remember!). Alvis refuses, asking for someone to quickly escort her away, as she continues to plead with him before she's taken away. Sigurd begs him to let him see her, and Alvis informs the troops to seize Sigurd and his party. He decides that they no longer need to live, so he has them serve their sentence right here. His mages crush all of the party under meteors, while Alvis uses Falaflame to strike down Sigurd personally, even as Sigurd curses him.

After a long eulogy stating the fate of the party, I am prompted to save my game. This will thus end the first generation, leaving the children of the party to rectify the horrid machinations of Alvis and the Lopt Sect, as their plans begin to spread and take hold of the world...

Actually, the T stands for Thor. Some people write it as "Tor" arguing "Tor as in Tordo" but Tordo and Thor are written noticeably differently in Japanese (I checked!)

Also, I forgot to mention this before, but Word Of God says that Claud and Sylvia aren't actually siblings, but cousins. The "Claud's missing sister" thing was a fake out I guess (and technically unresolved...)

And while I am on the subject of ill fitting trivia, Aida and Alvis have a son, Cyas, who is a major character in Thracia 776. He looks to be about 20, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was born before Alvis married Diadora. I don't think he is ever fully explained. Also, Aida dies protecting Cyas from the Lopto Sect between the generations, so if you thought you were going to get vengeance against her, sorry.

Also, just curious, but did you know about the twist before hand? I've been trying to not spoil it in these comments.

Oh, okay. Thorhammer is a badass spell name, I won't lie, although it's animation was kind of tame for a divine weapon. Just an exploding circle of lightning, nothing really crazy.

Alright, good, so I'm not having them become incestuous. It's just a distant bloodline sharing, sort of like Holyn and Aira.

Ida dies protecting a son we don't know about within a time frame that is likely to be left mostly as background info? Talk about a lame way to go. As for beating her, I honestly don't mind her. She really just sends us to Alvis, who does all the dirty work, and she tried to help us a bit with Reptor, so there's no big issue there.

I didn't know about the twist, although I had a hunch. I was wondering what was going to cause the future to be in the hands of everyones kids, and when Cuan and Ethlin got smoked, I got the feeling my guys weren't long for this world. I was actually kind of hopeful when Alvis welcomed us back, thinking maybe Manfloy's plot was simply going to expand after Alvis had his kid or something, and then everything would go to shit, but no, Alvis immolates everyone.
