By the Goddess, how many enemies can you fit into one mansion?

Seriously, this place was packed as hell. There was already a crazy number of foes at the beginning, and then they began shoving in more and more through 18 turns of reinforcements. Jill and Mist are now at A support, by the way.

Chapter 4-4 - Revelations: Finished.

Party: Stuck together the whole way through, since these guys were almost as fierce as they were innumerable. Ike and Mist took care of the foes on the bottom floor, while Jill and Soren cleared away the guys harassing Tormod and pals. Once those foes were done, Ike and Mist ran around to head for the stairs, clearing away a few enemies and allowing Mist to Physic people when she needed to. Soren drew out some people waiting on the top floor, and Jill waited as backup in case the situation turned iffy. She wasn't needed for that though, and Soren cleared through a good chunk of foes. After everyone gathered in the central ledge area on the second floor, they prepared to hold off the incoming hordes of reinforcements. Mostly they just fought through the enemies, but Soren borrowed Tormod's Meteor tome when a ranged sage appeared and countersniped him before he could start any trouble. Once all of the reinforcements were done, Soren sniped the sleep bishop (not before he tried to get Ike, but thankfully he missed), and the rest of the group plowed through the enemies forces. They charged through and did some serious damage, leaving only Oliver, while Mist and Ike went off to ransack the treasure chest in the place with the Unlock staff. Once that was done, Jill then killed Oliver for a second time.

Tormod and pals: Hid behind the party members, since they were liable to get destroyed (aside from Muarim, who is super awesome, and even he was in danger). They eventually waited out the fight in the second floor treasure room, borrowing a set of chest keys from Ike and busting down the door. They killed the guys in the room with little trouble, stole the treasures, and then just chilled while the others got the kills.

Oliver: Got instakilled by a crit from Jill with the Killer Lance.

Vs Oliver: Jill had to admit that of all the types of foes she had expected to see waiting for them at the top of the mansion, the portly Saint from the battle in Serenes three years ago was not one of them. Still, there he was, yammering on about his beauty, deaf to the rest of the world. Killer Lance in hand, Jill sighed and flew over to the saint, preparing to end this battle before any more foes could show up.

Jill tugged on the reins, signaling for her mount to pull back for a second, and before Oliver could do anything, she struck. Her lance pierced through the mans chest, and with a slight flick of the wrist, she turned the weapon 90 degrees clockwise, and then roughly yanked it out. The hooked ends of the spear did their job, carrying with them some grisly passengers as they exited the mans sternum, leaving him to die with the Nosferatu incantation still leaving his lips.

Up Next: We rejoin Aran as he prepares to fight though the longest chapter in the game!

Comment Question: What was your reaction upon seeing Oliver as the boss of this chapter? I was quite surprised, and was even more surprised when I learned he could be recruited!

Not only that, but he recruits himself upon meeting a heron, and Ike asks him after some ellipses to please go back to the other team. I laughed when I saw it.

Honestly it's pretty tolerant of them, letting a slaver and the guy who tried to kill them for two or three chapters in Po R stay on.

Oliver's self recruitment is both awesome and hilarious. Ike's reaction to it just seals the deal.
