Oh my lord, this chapter was a thing of beauty!

Aran was absolutely unstoppable here, and once Resolve kicked in, he was a complete monster. Thanks to his capped skill, after Resolve is up, he has over 50% chance of activating Impale, and ruining some poor schmo's whole day.

Chapter 4-2 - Silent World: Finished.

Aran: Crushed everything in his path. He traveled down the western path, ripping his way through all opposition, although taking a few hits here and there. After he had a nasty run in with a dracoknight though, Resolve activated, and he proceeded to become completely invincible. He dodged everything thrown at him as he tore through the reinforcements that warped in, the generals that stood guard along the paths, the numerous enemies standing around waiting for a foe to come along, and every other foe he could find. After he thrust his way straight into the forest clearing where Valtome awaited him, he then crushed him as well.

Tibarn: Took the bottom path, since I didn't want to overload Aran on experience. He took care of everyone down there, and also dealt with the bottom half of the forest clearing near Valtome.

Elincia & Pelleas: Waited near the beginning of the level, they ganged up on reinforcements on occasion, but mostly sat around. Eventually, some reinforcements warped in which they couldn't take care of, so Elincia grabbed Pelleas and they ran towards Aran, who then dealt with them.

Valtome: Got smashed by Aran, he took one hit, got Canceled, and then died immediately afterwards.

Vs Valtome: "Uwee hee hee! Uwee hee hee! I have always known that only I, Valtome, possessed the grace and beauty to be chosen by the goddess! How wonderful to finally be recognized for my excellence! If only that insufferable Zelgius could see me now! I am divinity! Uwee hee hee!"

He's just off in his own little world, isn't he? Well, whatever, I'd best finish this quickly.

Aran ran forward as quickly as he could, intercepting the self-absorbed senator before he could finish casting his spell with a swipe of his Silver Lances tip at the mans midsection. Valtome stepped backwards, sustaining a large gash in his torso, but without any mortal wounds.

Those came after Aran slammed his shield into the mans face.

The senator backpedaled from the blow, his spell forgotten as he cupped his hands around his face and began to curse profusely. Aran found the display surprisingly amusing, considering Valtome seemed to trying to speak through a broken nose, although he knew he didn't have any time to appreciate the scene. Aran quickly rammed his spear into the mans breast, putting an end to the obnoxious duke.

Up Next: We face the obligatory desert chapter, and this means the return of Mordecai's pal, and the final member of this party!
