A Warmup for the rest of the Begnion chapters

Seriously, this chapter is a lot easier than some of the previous ones, whether because the foes are less tricky (chapter 12) or because the chapter is less busy (chapter 13). Also, Ike is now at B support with Soren.

Chapter 14 - Training: Finished.

Ike, Soren, & Mordecai: They traveled up the central bridge, each of them taking out bandits left and right. Soren ran down, intercepting the tricky foe who hid east of our starting position, while the other two continued heading north, taking out more bandits, and eventually reaching the bosses area. Soren and Ike took out the bosses lackeys, while Mordecai mercy killed the Feral Ones with a pair of crits. Jill and Mist then rejoined with them, Mist healing Mordecai of his poison (damn bandits always having venin weapons) and then healed his wounds for the fight. Mordecai then finished off Gashilama, and ended the chapter.

Jill & Mist: They took the western path, Jill acting as Mists guard while Marcia visited the house, got the Spirit Dust, and then hid on the cliffs, waiting for Makalov. Jill drew out the group of enemies, taking them all down fairly quickly and then letting Marcia shanghai her idiot brother into joining us. He visited the houses, getting a Vantage scroll and a Secret Book, while Jill intercepted the bandit that planned on destroying the homes they were near, and she carried Mist over to where the rest of the party was.

Gashilama: The only tough thing in this chapter, he fought Mordecai. I let him strike first, and he got a crit, which hurt, but Mordecai was fine after he slashed Gashilama and got Mended by Mist (more for experience than any actual fear for Mordecai's life). Mordecai then attacked him personally, and took him out.

VS Gashilama: "Gulp! Tiger! Tigers are dangerous! I've got to trick it into drinking the medicine..."

Trick? Medicine? Perhaps that is why his brother tigers had gone mad...

"Ggrrraaaooowwwrrr!"

His rage verbalized in the most primal form, Mordecai drew closer to the man, who charged forward, bringing the red colored axe down on Mordecai's back before he could retreat. The serrated edge of the axe dug into Mordecai's skin, tearing it apart as the blade was dragged outwards, causing the wound to bleed profusely. Mordecai roared in pain, but before the man could retreat, Mordecai had ran forward and driven his claws into the mans arm, the wound deepening as the man attempted to pull himself free, which caused the razor edged claws to rake across his arm, down into his hand. The smugglers axe fell to the ground, and Mist ran forward, healing Mordecai's wound with a golden Mend staff. As the man fled, Mordecai ran forward and leaped over him, cutting off his escape route. Mordecai finished off the terrified man with a swipe of his paw that slammed the mans head into the hard river stone.

Up Next: The obligatory desert chapter, on the one run where I won't mind it that much. I'm going to meet the final member of this party, and have to fight a lot of laguz. Also, digging for treasure!

Comment Question: So, this boss wielded a Killer Axe, and I brought up in the VS Section my explanation for why Killer Axes were so very deadly (that being, serrated edges that grip and tear into skin when swung). What would you say is the explanation for why one of the other Killer weapons are so deserving of their titles?
