Chapter 36: Too Elite 2 Beat

{Yellow heals his team before moving on.}

  • Rock Chamber

Bruno: I am Bruno of the Elite Four!

Yellow: I see. I'm Yellow.

Bruno: Through rigorous training, people and Pokemon can become stronger!

Bruno: I've weight trained with my Pokemon!

Lumina: Impressive. He has aimed high.

Bruno: Yellow!

Yellow: What?

Bruno: We will grind you down with our superior power!

Yellow: Superior maybe. Overwhelming I doubt. Bring it on!

Bruno: Hoo hah!

===Battle start: Versus Elite 2===

{Bruno sends out an Onix, Lv 53}

Yellow: Thought so. Elliot, wash it away with Surf.

{Round 1: Onix slams into Elliot, but the sea creature summons a wave to force it off. Hp 148/171 vs 0%}

{Bruno sends out Hitmonchan. Lv 55}

Yellow: Your turn Charles. Psychic.

{Round 2: Charles takes down Hitmonchan. Charles grows to level 41}

{Bruno sends out Hitmonlee, Lv 55}

Yellow: Keep it up.

{Round 3: Charles defeats Hitmonlee.}

{Bruno sends out Onix, Lv 56}

Yellow: Elliot, your turn again.

{Round 4: Onix triggers an Earthquake, but it's nowhere near enough to stop Elliot from wiping it out. Hp 104/171 vs 0%. Elliot grows to level 41}

Elliot: These critical weaknesses are ridiculous. Is defeating an elite trainer really that simple?

{Bruno sends out Machamp, Lv 58}

Yellow: You know the drill, Charles.

Charles: Of course!

{Round 5: Charles' psychic imprinting hits a vulnerable point in Machamp's mind, and the bulky fighter falls.}

Bruno: Why? How could I lose?

Charles: Your physical power is worthy of admiration. But it is simply too impractical to bring it to bear.

===Battle End===

Bruno: My job is done! Go face your next challenge!

Yellow: (Come to think of it, the Elite Four is basically my and Purple's balanced team buildup in a larger form. You can't just rearrange your party to counter one of their types like with the Gym Leaders. On the other hand, they use few enough types that it's not hard to match every weak point.) We're doing great, guys! Now let's move on!
