Hello again! Today, we're going to start off at area 6-3: Manalith Garden.

Also, I forgot to mention it twice in a row this time, but Einherjar's attack power is now 177, with Disaresta having a power of 172.

The very first thing that happens is that I have to do a mash minigame to avoid being knocked down by the wind. This is followed on the next screen by a fight against another of those "wind" wyrms. This one is even more evil than the last two, in that it takes no damage from holy attacks. Note that if you aren't obsessively S-ranking every battle, the best bow you'll have is a Spiral Arch, which does holy damage with its Over Skill.

Anyway, after killing it I head east another screen. Ein starts talking about how he doesn't want to keep fighting the Cefiro, not that it'll show up again.

Incidentally, upon thinking about it I've realized that "Cefiro" was probably supposed to be "Sefirot". Or possibly Sephiroth. As such, they're officially Bishies for the rest of this LP.

That said, I'm on this screen so I can get the treasure, and I actually do the unthinkable and savescum it. After a few tries, though, I get sick of it and just take the Spiral Arch I'm given. After that's done, I head east to the next area.

I'm treated to a brief scene of Ledah fighting his way forward, dropping some feathers as he goes, then I'm sent to area 6-4: Eternal Eden. This area contains curved blocks that surround some smaller trees. I head east and kill some bishies for a chest with a Wind Bowgun in it. Gee, that sure would've been useful when I was fighting the guy who was actually weak to it'!

I then jump down from the first screen to another screen. This one contains a random chest, which I open for a Viper Whip. I replace Iria's old, worn-out bow in order to make room for my new stat booster, which as usual is immediately mastered:

Lina:

  • Viper Whip: Constrictor: Level 1, 3-hit physical non-elemental attack, power of 151, also damages Lina, does more damage at less HP

Serene:

  • Viper Whip: Detonator: Level 1, 3-hit physical fire-elemental attack, power of 165, low accuracy, unblockable

Cierra:

  • Viper Whip: Snake Bite: Level 2, 6-hit physical fire-elemental attack, power of 119, Mot-Vit, effective against beasts

With that, I'm pretty sure Cierra's Strength has reached its highest possible value, 42. Really, you shouldn't be relying on her for physical attacks, and if you are I don't know what's wrong with you.

Anyway, I head east to a screen with another sword stuck in the ground. This particular blade is the Dragon Eraser, and it shows up too long before the dragon you're expected to erase with it. As such, I intentionally fail the minigame to pull it out three times, breaking the sword and gaining me the Sword Hilt key item. I could've done this at either of the previous ODRGN swords, but I didn't.

Also, this is where the path you end up on if the wyrm from earlier blows you away will take you. So, all you miss is a random chest and the Wind Bowgun.

Anyway, I head back a screen and jump across the blocks. This involves a timing minigame, then a mash minigame if you fail the timing minigame. Failing that one will drop me off at the next area early, so let's try not to do that.

This next screen has an enemy I can examine, off in the distance. This lets me throw the Rock at it, by way of a command minigame. Success causes the poor sod to fall to his death, struck by a rock from an absurd distance away.

I think we can all agree by now that the Rock is the best weapon in the game. Too bad that was the last one...

I then jump down to a platform below. I miss a chest with a fresh Mithril Sword in it, but I've barely used the one I have anyway. I end up at a place I couldn't reach without jumping down, where I can head east. From there, I move another screen east to area 6-9: Crumbling Gardens.

As I move into this area, I see a scene with the mysterious blonde woman from Chapter 2. She talks about how Ledah did an awesome job of destroying the first Aquarium, then flies off.

I immediately encounter a wizard who accuses me of trying to steal his precious spring. He goes down with minimal difficulty, allowing us to move forward. The second screen contains a spring with a fairy in it. She suggests that we drink the water, and doing so grants everyone 30 bonus HP. I then examine some grass in the water, which turns out to be an herb called Heilkraut, which replaces the uber-bow I've been carrying around but not actually using. Fia can master it, so let's do that:

Fia:

  • Heilkraut: Mix Elixir: Level 2, turns all remaining Heilkraut into Elixirs

That's right. They just gave me the ultimate healing item simply for knowing where to look. Since they're so insistent, I take them up on their offer (though I'll probably never use it outside of practice battles).

I then head another screen east, where I encounter the ruins of the first Aquarium. The screen has both a set of Black Feathers and an Aquarium Fragment for me to take, so I get them both and head back to the last area.

All there is here is to head all the way east, past the screen we jumped to. This requires a jump, followed immediately by another jump to area 6-5: The World Tree.

This place is made up of tree stumps, one of which has some black Grim Angel feathers on it. This is indeed the place where Ledah was fighting earlier, as you might expect. Anyway, I head east (through a mash minigame).

The next screen contains some bishies to fight, one of whom is a harpy who, upon Serene slaying her, drops a Leyte Claw for us. I then drop the Viper Whip, and immediately start mastering that new claw:

Lina:

  • Leyte Claw: Rising Claw: Level 2, 6-hit magic lightning-elemental attack, power of 142, does more damage at less HP

Serene:

  • Leyte Claw: No Mercy: Level 2, 5-hit physical lightning-elemental attack, power of 154, does more damage at less HP

I then open the random chest on this screen, which contains a Viper Whip. Meh.

I then have to endure another mash minigame to move forward, then another one to move to the fourth area. I must then fight some more bishies, who have a golem on their side. Unfortunately, I only managed an A-rank instead of the S-rank I wanted, but it'll do.

As I move onward, I get a scene with Ledah fighting his way to the next Aquarium, followed by a chance to save. That, my viewers, is where I will leave you for today.
