Go To

I'm really sorry about all these long delays. Once school is over in about a week, I'll update more.

Let's go to Gryllus.

Belgger walks into a field. "The souls of the dead are gathering here... we can't afford to stay long."

SUDDENLY ZOMBIES

Position. Allos is left knight, Fersen is right knight (he's obscured by Belgger's status box.]]

Creepy music plays.

Since this battle has undead, you'll need a cleric with exorcism on hand.

"Ghosts who wander the night, return to your resting place!!!"

Belgger said "Zombie goasts leave this place" and the zombie goasts said "but this is our house"

Okay, I'm just shitting you.

Exorcism hits in a cross radius in this game, but also has a chance of missing. Pretty much spend most of this battle giving magic leaves to your cleric so she can kill the zombies, and heal people who are hurt. It's pretty easy. The only ones you have to look out for are the wizards. It's easy to save-state abuse this battle. I would hate to have to do this on an actual GBA, what with the chance of missing and all.

Important to note is that even if an undead in kocked out and not actually exorcised (they'll revive in a few turns), if you get all undead knocked out at once, you win. That's what happened to me.

From the battle Flauros gets the Centurion and Exorcist emblems. Exorcist causes all undead in a three panel range to drop a mental gauge. I have no idea what a mental gauge is. Centurion increases her strength by 30. Whoopty frigging doo.

I get 100 Goth.

Belgger felt sorry for them becaus they couldnt live there anymore because they were zombie goasts so he blew up the house and killed the zombie goasts so they were at piece.

I'll stop, I'll stop.

"The forest of the undead... dawn is still a long way off."

We can now do a battle at Blete.

Above stands a young girl and a group of undead, some monsters, and a warlock.

"I can't believe that you passed through the forest of the dead unharmed," the girl, Euphaire, says.

"...You smell like... death. Are you... alive?"

"Funny question, boy. The stench of blood lingers on you as well. You must have experienced many battles. I can see the ghosts of those you've killed... just look..."

"Stop!!!"

Our position.

Music.

"I'll share with you the cold and darkness of the earth. Now come here, boy," Euphaire taunts.

The dragon, despite appearances, is undead. Mostly this battle follows the same formula. However, Euphaire has powerful attacks with a large range, which hit random enemies multiple times. Pretty much Rafa's abilities except actually powerful. It's still pretty easy though.

Euphaire kneels after being defeated. "...You are... so strong... am I going to die again? Do you know of this town's sorrows? Many died when Lodis burned it to the ground."

We get a sword emblem and the spell Salamander (the one she was using).

Belgger and Ivanna care for her. She starts to flash and what appears to be smoke comes out from her body. She sits up.

"Oh..."

"What... what happened to your body?" Belgger asks.

"My mother's soul was inside of me."

"How could your mother do such a thing...?"

"A few years after the soldiers from Lodis left, she was killed by bandits that attacked our town. My father called her soul back with a spell, and she possessed my body. At first I was happy, but later I learned that it was wrong. The dead and the living are not meant to share the same body. I must see my father and tell him that. Please let me go with you."

  • Alright.
  • I'm afraid not.

Why not?

"Alright. Let's go together. But first, you should regain your health."

"Thank you. Don't worry, I'll be OK. I know that the undead do not belong in this world, but mother and those who were killed by soldiers of Lodis protected me and the people of this town..." What was the point of Ivanna even being here?

The next day...

Belgger and Cybil walk through the town.

"Is this the town where I was born...?" Cybil asks.

"Yes. When you were a baby, this is where Berevra found you. Eleanor, does it bring back any memories?"

She shakes her head. "No, nothing at all... Belgger, what is memory? One day, will my memories of you grow uncertain... or even fade altogether? If something is forgotten, is it like it never existed? Where does memory and imagination begin?"

"There's someone who's been fading from my memory... my father. I don't want to forget about him, but I don't always trust my memories of him either."

She starts to walk away. "Let's go, Belgger. I don't have to remember. We can live without these memories..."

I was going to cover the next story battle, but I got into a random battle I didn't really have a choice so I'll cover the story battle next time.
