Commander's Log - April 31, 2040
The new Barracuda arrived at Redback Base yesterday; the techs there report that it will be ready for action by the end of the day.
Speaking of which, I received the latest report from the X-Com Funding Committee.
◊ It seems that, despite our recent losses, they're pleased with how we've been handing matters - especially with the Maldive Island incident, as we managed to keep the Eeks from capturing several members of the Australasian Conglomerate's board of directors (members who were there incognito, I might add).
An unexpected - but admittedly positive - turn of events. I can but hope that things will continue thusly, but it is highly unlikely.
I honestly have no idea how I got such a high score for April, so I just made something up.
