◊. It could have been better - we lost Ensign Tracy - but it could also have been a lot worse, especially if Siegfried Farnan and Arilou hadn't been able to shake off whatever method of mind control the Eeks were using.
Speaking of which, this new form of mind control seems to be a different technique than the one used by the Eeks in the First Alien War - according to the reports from the medical teams, there's no evidence of psionic influence, but there are strangely-elevated levels of assorted neurotransmitters, particularly those tied to aggression and the fight-or-flight response.
This is very troubling. The new approach to mind control seems to be far more insidious, and it appears that our psi screenings will not be effective in determining who is resistant to these attacks and who is not.
