Commander's Log, May 29th, 2040 - Supplemental
This mission did not go particularly well at all.
◊ Not because of anything we did wrong, but because the aliens piloting the downed submarine were unlike anything we'd seen before.
We don't have anything in our arsenal capable of doing significant damage to those creatures, short of the Thermal Tazers.
The only good thing that came out of this SNAFU was that we captured a live specimen of this new race, so we can interrogate it back at Augustica Base.
Luckily, Dr. Belacqua's people have finished the first batch of Ion Armour for our people. As soon as we get back to base, I'm issuing it to everyone currently stationed at Augustica Base - save for Seaman Talbot, who's on the injured list for the time being.
