I might finally be able to get back on my regular Monday-Wednesday-Friday skating schedule again. Yahoo! Weather: Sunny, just under freezing. The sun factor means there's still a little melting going on. Piles on the street corners still huge and hard to see past but there's more passing room as the streets aren't constricted anymore. Physical Condition: A little stiff at first, but once I'd warmed up and stretched out on the ice I felt very glad to be there and the length of time didn't seem like any burden. No falls or scratches. Didn't do any exercise yesterday, though, although I probably should have.

They did Zamboni the ice before public skating, which was nice - although I haven't been noticing any problems with ice condition lately. Again, plenty of people of all kinds out on the ice, but it wasn't too crowded either.

I did everything I was doing on Monday, but a little more energetically. Except spins; I just didn't feel like working on them. Which is probably not good for my spin technique, but what the heck. They turned on the radio over the loudspeakers for the last ten or fifteen minutes I was there, which is always nice - music really energizes me. When I get a chance I'll do improvisational dancing using jazz dance moves I learned doing musicals in school, and I take this the same way: improvisational skate dancing using various figure skating moves. Just have to watch out for other people, of course - especially while going backwards!

Anyway, good practice. Maybe I'll take out the book on skating I was using from the library again and try to read it more thoroughly this time.
