Achievement Unlocked: Read the Introduction – 5G

Hello and welcome to my second liveblog. This time, it's for the original series of Cinematech (2002, G4), not the sister series, Cinematech: Nocturnal Emissions (2005, G4TechTV).

Why didn't I do the original series first? It's somewhat complicated. The main reason is, I believe that CT is ultimately superior to C: NE, although C: NE may have been more entertaining initially, in the end, it wasn't able to maintain that level of amusement. So I think that doing the CT liveblog afterward will make for a happier ending to the Cinematech saga.

This liveblog will feature descriptions and reviews of select (i.e., the best) episodes of CT. Unfortunately, I didn't see the entire series, so this liveblog will always technically be incomplete, unless I decide to watch the eps I didn't see online. Just like my C: NE liveblog, these eps come from my personal collection of CT eps that I recorded off of TV. Because several eps feature clever edits that showcase games back-to-back, this liveblog signals return of the timecode – yes, the actual Code of Time!

Since the topic of this liveblog is a show about Video Games, it has been categorized in the VG portion of TV Tropes' liveblogs.

I plan to do more interesting things in this liveblog than in the first, so I'm excited to write it!

If I made a factual error or a mistake in the liveblog, or if a link is dead/broken, please let me know in the comments so I can try to fix it. :)

The Aeon Flux video game was... very weird. Basically, it served to link the animated series and the movie together, taking place between both and explaining what the deal was with characters repeatedly dying all throughout (and the ending basically got rid of that in a stupid fashion).
