In which I choose the version.

Hello, everyone! So, the other day I was helping my grandparents clean out their basement and guess what I found in one of the boxes? Both of the GBA Demi Kids games (the ones Atlus actually translated) with the labels half-rubbed off. Neither of my grandparents knew where it came from (It may have been there before they bought the house) so I decided to take them, and as they are relatively rare, I thought I'd liveblog them.

Now, there are two versions of this game, like every Pokemon inspired game worth it's salt. They are Demi Kids Light and Demi Kids Dark. (In Japanese the title is Devil Children, so I can see why Atlus changed the name). So if anyone is interested, vote on which version you want me to liveblog. The two have different simultaneous plots and the Dark version is apparently somewhat more difficult with a slightly less generic plot. (I'm just repeating what I've heard here).

So, vote on which version you want to find out about and I'll get started.

You'll eventually have three demons on the field and yeah occasionally enemy encounters have demons that appear after you defeat the ones you're currently facing.

They changed a bunch of demon names for space and kid appeal reasons- Aminoz is actually Ame-no-Uzume, for instance.

Akira and Jin, huh? I know one of the meanings for "Akira" is "bright," so what's the betting "Jin" can mean "dark?"

Well, Jin is in the Light version and Akira is in the Dark version, so I'm not sure.
