Prologue: Welcomes and information

Hello, all who are currently reading this! This is the opening page of what will be the storage place for all my liveblogs of the Fire Emblem series of games. In here, I will be updating chapter by chapter as I play through the games and hopefully make those updates as fun to read as possible!

The next page will be a Table of Contents, since this will eventually get fairly large, and it will make categorizing which games are being covered in which liveblog installments much easier.

Continue forth onto the next page, and hopefully enjoy your time reading!

Ressurectory is, like, the best name ever. In Disgaea, reviving dead guys means paying a tiny sum at a hospital. In Fire Emblem, a super-special, one-time magic item to revive one person requires its own temple with silly name.

True, it is pretty cool. Of course, Fire Emblem's permadeath is a bit different from most personal character SRPG's, so that's probably why.

I find it funny how top rank revival staves are so rarely used. I know there's one in Shadow Dragon, New Mystery, and Genealogy, but there isn't ever one in any of the other games I've played, which instead use the "Total healing to entire party" basis, such as the Latona, the Ashera Staff, etc. Probably because death is generally avoided in the games, and so people would rarely just leave someone to die, leading to there being very little use to a revival staff.

You brought someone back to kill them again? Harsh. Was that for a gaiden?

Wait what? No, I brought him back because I felt I gave him a raw deal since he was a bow unit from the start, and I reclassed him to make room for others. Castor's alive and well, and will be by the time I finish Medeus, and then continue into New Mystery.

Wait, so for all the people you could have revived, all the cool plot important people like Hardin and Minerva and Maria and so on and so on, you brought back Castor?

What.

They all come back anyway, and hey, I probably would have used him if he didn't have bad growths in this game, so he technically wouldn't have died.

But to be honest, it's probably because there were so many of them, that choosing would have been rather tough, so I just went with the reclassed bow wielder.
