Let's Endure Sickengly Sweet Episodes of Strawberry Shortcake!
Y'know, this review is one reason why, among 1980s girls' cartoons with strawberry imagery, I prefer Yume no Hoshi no Button Nose. Very nicely written.

Since you mentioned her, Julie Mc Whirter was an actress who'd done a lot of work for Hanna-Barbera, of which I can only remember Jabberjaw. She was married to Rick Dees, of "Disco Duck" fame.

I never knew that. I usually don't pay attention to voice actors unless it's one of those Hey Its Thatvoice moments and then later do some research. It's nice to know, though!

Hoom, that wish was a little hasty...

The network executive character actually sounded funny.

God DAMN, does this sound awful! The 80s were somewhat of a low point in American animation and now we all know why - things like these!

Far from surprising, given this was made during the Dark Age Of Animation. People keep saying the 80's version had some sort of charm. Well, someone should put a pair of Nostalgia Goggles on me, because I don't see it.

Very nice liveblogs! Certainly there were parts of this I thought could be entertaining, but so far I am put off...

If it had been a full series, it probably would have been better, but as it is...well, no effort at all.

I'm still new at this, cut me some slack. I'll try to rewrite some parts for more comedy.

EDIT: Oh, you're referring to the series itself. I read this wrong...
