Actually, one of the Morganites' big advantages is that they can ignore Free Market if they want to. +2 Economy gives you +1 Energy collected in every square, which is a hella sweet amount of money and research, and Morgan can get there running nothing but Wealth and his innate faction advantages, while everyone else has to have Free Market for that until the very late game Eudaimonic social engineering.
Also, the Drones' disadvantage is not in money but in research. They're not particularly good for tech victories.
