* AluminumChristmasTrees: The team is frequently shown using suppressed Sten submachine guns to devastating effect and little apparent notice from everyone around. The suppressed Sten is actually that quietThe Sten Mark 2 that the team uses was absolutely notorious for being far, far better designed than it had any right to be, considering it was made by a resource-strapped United Kingdom to replace the weapons they left behind in Dunkirk in 1940. In addition to the low-powered [=9x19mm=] pistol round being inherently easier to suppress due to the bullet's design, the suppressor on the Sten is as long as the gun itself, stock included. The suppressed submachine was specifically designed for covert warfare, with an aim towards being as quiet as possible. Combined with the fact that suppressors were not especially common in 1942, the fact that no one notices the suppressed gunshots is also justified the three times they're used: in the scene on the boat, the team is far away from the Nazi's larger boat, and they aren't heard; in the stockade raid, a lot of attention is drawn to the loud, backfiring vehicle, which is providing sound covernotice that once it's fixed and turned off, the team abandons the quiet approach and goes loud; during the ending, each kill is enough to get attention, but more of a "what was that" reaction instead of "those were gunshots" reaction.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: The teaser trailer is set to the ever so punchy "Another One Bites the Dust" by Music/Queen.
* CompleteMonster: Heinrich Luhr is a sadistic, bigoted Nazi SS commander put in charge of overseeing operations on the island of Fernando Po. Heinrich ensures the safety of German U-Boats to assist with Nazi dominance over the Atlantic. As a twisted Hobby, Heinrich captures women to brutally torture for his own amusement. Initially interested in UsefulNotes/SOE agent Marjorie Stewart, Heinrich attempts to subject her to brutal torture when he discovers she is Jewish. Once his oversights on his duties result with the British spies being able to destroy the U-Boats, Luhr pettily murders 2 of his associates simply for calling out his incompetence.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments:
** Gus and Tiffin are inflitrating a German camp, where a leading officer (dubbed "Joker" in the trailer's subtitles) jokes about someone confusing his wife with a dog. As his comrades laugh, Gus as well behind him, catching their now terrified attention. Gus notes that the joke was "very good" before the commando starts to gun the Germans down.
** While Lassen is ripping through a squad of Nazis with an axe, he stops to give a goofy, cheerful wave with said axe to his astonished teammates on the other side of a door.
* SpiritualSuccessor: A Guy Ritchie-directed action movie with some heavy comedy starring Creator/HenryCavill and agents from other countries makes it really easy to see this as a spiritual sequel to The Man from U.N.C.L.E.... or more accurately a prequel since it takes place during UsefulNotes/WorldWarII instead of the UsefulNotes/ColdWar.
