* AlternateCharacterInterpretation:
** The Shark Fighter is either a vengeful hero who will fight an entire species to avenge his girlfriend, or an unhinged jerk whose girlfriend literally left him for a shark.
** Roger from "Hot Summer Nights (Won't Last Forever)" is either a clingy creep who won't take no for an answer, or just a depressingly naive NiceGuy who believes every excuse without question. Notably it's Elizabeth, the object of his affections, who goes to lengths to avoid him while he only tries to call her on the misunderstanding that she's interested in him.
*** Alternatively, what if Elizabeth and her ''identical relatives'' [[RealAfterAll are telling the truth?]] Francine answering the phone as Elizabeth was a real slip of the tongue.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Most assuredly. "Awesome Forces", "Martian Girl", "Powdered Milk Man", "Fashion Zombies", "Playdough", "Skeleton Inside", the list goes on. And that's not even getting into the stuff from the TV series.
* HilariousInHindsight: ''Pajamazon,'' a song about the joys of staying in and being lazy was written and recorded months before the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, where the public was urged to stay in-doors to prevent infection. An unintended anthem for self-isolation, the song was released early on their Youtube channel, running with the idea.
* MemeticBadass: The Shark Fighter. He fights sharks.
* NewerThanTheyThink: Fans introduced by the TV series may be surprised looking back to see the 'bats didn't have specific powers before the show.
* RetroactiveRecognition: [[Music/{{Blink 182}} Travis Barker]], (Then under the Aquabats name The Baron von Tito) plays the drums on "The Fury Of The Aquabats!"
* TearJerker:
** "Pizza Day!" unexpectedly ends with the protagonist ending up an overweight, unemployed, and lazy mess, stuck reminiscing about the simpler times when he got meals made for him at school.
** "Playdough!" is an upbeat song about nostalgia, the protagonist thinking back to the toys from his childhood and how life just isn't fun any more.
** "Hot Summer Nights (Won't Last Forever)." At face value it's already sad, a bittersweet story about someone falling in love, but never being able to see their partner again. The song is actually about them being unable to take the hint that a woman isn't interested in him after one date. She works out elaborate stories about joining Alaskan expeditions and having multiple identical relatives and he believes every word, hanging onto hope that they'll meet again. Silly, but just as heartbreaking.
** "Hello, Good Night" is [[SurprisinglyGentleSong a shockingly tender and heartfelt song from the band,]] [[AlbumClosure closing off "Vs. The Floating Eye Of Death!"]] with a quiet lullaby about how when things go wrong, it will all go back to normal sometime. The lyrics get into some pretty existential and somber material, discussing one's legacy after they're gone and how "Everybody wants to live, [[DrivenToSuicide some people wanna die.]]"
