1	* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Did Denev join the Gods because she was [[DefectorFromDecadence appalled by the other Titans' cruelty?]] Or did she just realize they were likely to lose and play the "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em" card in order to not get sealed away herself? While most books strongly imply it was the former, the book ''The Divine and the Defeated'' at least suggests it may have been the latter.
2	* CompleteMonster: [[WickedWitch Mormo]] is the titan of poison, snakes, and evil witches and hags. In perhaps her most significant act, when Gormoth--another titan who was technically her brother and also lover--created the viren--the first sapient race to be created by the Titans--she felt jealous of his creation and poisoned him with a species of parasitic worms so she could steal his creation, said worm infestation leaving Gormoth [[AndIMustScream completely helpless and in agony for centuries as he writhed beneath the ground]]. Even when he finally recovered he was both permanently disfigured and DrivenToMadness, and thus went around trying to warp countless other creatures into monsters. Additionally, Mormo was responsible for creating numerous AlwaysChaoticEvil races, including most species of hag; and frequently required HumanSacrifice (which, since she's a titan and not a god, wasn't strictly necessary), usually by throwing people into pits full of snakes or poisoning them to death. She was also extremely petty and cruel even to her own loyal followers. In one case, when a powerful hag spellcaster invented a spell to create an entirely new race of creatures, a jealous Mormo cursed the hag by turning her into a [[MookMaker Dark Womb]]. Mormo even [[AbusiveParents tortured her own child Chardun]] endlessly until he became the GodOfEvil she desired.
3	* IronWoobie: Oh man, Golthain. He was the [[TokenGoodTeammate only titan besides Denev who wasn't a total bastard,]] and actually cared about his creations. When he tried to stop Kadum from destroying one of his created races, the other titans decided to torture him and completely disfigure his face (hence his title, the Faceless), along with [[AndYourLittleDogToo corrupting and destroying his own creations.]] Despite all this, he did his best to try to help out his creations and followers despite his ruined state, and got something of an EsotericHappyEnding, as he was allowed to just [[CessationOfExistence cease to exist,]] rather than being trapped in an AndIMustScream like the other titans.
4	* NightmareFuel: See the [[NightmareFuel/DungeonsAndDragons page]] for ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons''. It's the longest entry relating to a single campaign setting.
5	* {{Squick}}: We could focus on the gory aspects of the setting, but in regards to sex squick one particular thing is worth mentioning. In Shelzar, there's a construct based on the Gibbering Mouther monster, with certain... orifices in place of its mouths. If too many people use it at once, it dies.
6	* TheWoobie: Idra. Despite being a nice deity in general, she is pretty unpopular due to [[ChildByRape her origins]]. Even Tanil's followers tend to shun her, even though you'd think they'd be more understanding.
