3	** [[HandsomeLech Tohma]] is so all over the place about whether or not he actually returned the feelings of anyone who expressed interest in him that it's difficult to tell when, if at all, his feelings are true. Also, [[spoiler:given how distraught he was when learning of just how much Misao had been through]], coupled with [[spoiler:apologizing to her in his sleep when you kill him on the bad ending route]], it's difficult to place just how ''much'' of a bastard he truly is.
4	** During Male Aki's storyline, when Tohma and Sohta are hanging to the edge of the abyss, Sohta tells Aki to save Tohma. Previously, he had also offered to be the final sacrifice so Aki wouldn't have to kill Tohma. Is Sohta truly being selfless here or is he trying to ensure that Aki kills the more self-absorbed Tohma?
5	* AngstWhatAngst: Aki takes most of what she endures in the other world with a surprising amount of grace. While honestly upset by [[spoiler:some of the deaths]], she even laughs about not being able to [[spoiler:prevent Yoshino's brutal death by chainsawing]] and is [[spoiler: delighted when she finds Misao's corpse parts (compared to her male counterpart who's understably horrified by finding Misao's corpse)]].

One of the books in the library contains a WholePlotReference to ''Mad Father'', and the one visual trait that Library doesn't share with Aya is her glasses]].

12	* JerkassWoobie: Kudoh. He used to be closer to Misao when they were younger, but he stopped hanging out with her as they got older. He witnessed Misao being bullied by Yoshino and didn’t step in to protect her. However, it’s clear in his death scene that he regretted not helping her. His section in “Truth” highlights his guilt, especially since the various Misaos surrounding him tell him to die.
