* ArcFatigue: There were many who felt the final battle between Melissa and Cerise dragged on too long and grew tired of [[IAmNotLefthanded the constant tug-of-war]] between them. Which was compounded by the comic suffering from constant [[ScheduleSlip Schedule Slips.]]
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Applies to Cerise and Faith, with the latter frequently being the subject of heated debate on the comic's official forum.
** Opinion on Cerise was split between those who [[LoveToHate loved to hate her]], and those who thought she was a [[SmugSnake smug]], [[ManipulativeBitch manipulative]] [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder backstabber]] who'd gotten way too much focus. But she became almost [[TheScrappy universally reviled]] after [[spoiler: betraying Mel and Jacqui, by outting them as witches. Then trying to kill them, along with the student council]], [[ItsAllAboutMe all for the sake of]] ''[[EvilIsPetty popularity.]]''
*** Made worse when the series ended with Mel letting her literally get away with [[spoiler: attempted murder]]. You can imagine [[WhatTheHellHero how well that went]] with some of the readers.
** In Faith's case, there were those who liked her and accepted that [[GreyAndGreyMorality she wasn't without her faults]] - while others refused to acknowledge [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/official_girlfriend the change she made]] and continued to see the worst in everything she did.
%%* BrokenBase: The reveal of [[spoiler: Rain's true gender]] also caused a divide in the forums as well.
%%* FridgeBrilliance: Cerise ''did'' overthrow Mel, albeit in [[SpotlightStealingSquad the "meta"]] [[CharacterFocus sense.]]
* FridgeLogic: If ''Webcomic/EerieCuties'' crosses over with both ''Webcomic/MagickChicks'' and ''Webcomic/ParanormalMysterySquad'', and thus the latter two are part of the same universe, then what does [[AnimalWrongsGroup PETM]] and its Congressional allies think of Artemis Academy?
** Adam said [[WordOfGod there's nothing PETM could've done]], since they're based in the US, while Artemis Academy is in Canada. [[http://www.pixietrixcomix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=527524#p527524 Therefore, it's outside their jurisdiction.]]
* HarsherInHindsight: Cerise's throw away line, [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/baconators here]] (about an incident involving a volcano), doesn't seem as funny after she [[spoiler: she claims to have killed Jacqui and the student council [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/little_miss_lives_a_lot by teleporting them into one.]]]]
%%** Remember Sandi's suspicions about [[spoiler: [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/way_more_suspicious Skye]]]] and how easily Jacqui dismissed them? I'll bet she's wishing [[spoiler: [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/cut_their_heads_off she had listened to Sandi now]]]].
%%* {{Moe}}: Skye. It's enough that she's a [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Fluttershy]] {{expy}} to begin with but, seriously, [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/that_tickles look]] [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/taking_a_while at]] [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/devoid_of_darkness her!]]
* MoralEventHorizon: Cerise crossed it in chapter 15, by [[spoiler: exposing Mel and Jacqui as witches]] while they were surrounded by the student council. Then tried to [[spoiler:kill all of them, [[MassTeleportation by teleporting them into a volcano]]]], which included the girl she'd been pretending to date in order to gain popularity. And was too busy [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/quite_inspired toasting her success]] to care.
* OneTrueThreesome: Faith is serious about pursuing a relationship with [[spoiler: Tiffany]], and has said she'd even give up other girls for her. But when [[spoiler: Tiffany]] asked about Faith's boyfriend, Ash, [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/take_things_slow Faith proposed the trope as a solution.]]
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: Faith was the series' most divisive character for several reasons:
** When first introduced, she was perceived as [[SmugSuper a smug]] {{antagonist}} to Mel, who the readers felt was [[SuperpowerLottery too powerful.]] But her development following the [[spoiler: [[WebComic/EerieCuties Layla]]]] [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/regain_your_energy incident]] and her actions during [[spoiler: Hecate]]'s attack revealed [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/a_dead_end she was well-meaning]] (albeit [[GreyAndGreyMorality morally grey]]), causing a some readers to change [[LovableAlphaBitch their opinion of her.]]
** There was also speculation about whether Faith was mind-controlling the students at Artemis, in order to seduce them; causing some to question whether any of her trysts could be considered consensual. It was eventually revealed that her powers had sync'd with the school, due to her subconscious desire to be loved. But since [[ThisCannotBe she hadn't been]] [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/even_her_enemies aware of it]], many readers felt it couldn't be rightly held against her.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The fate of the student council could've potentially paved the way for a RescueArc, especially had they been sent to [[spoiler: the Shadow Realm]]. Instead, they only wound up in [[spoiler: TheBermudaTriangle]], which was resolved in anticlimactic fashion, via DeusExMachina.
* TooBleakStoppedCaring: Some readers didn't care who won between Melissa and Cerise during vol.4's final chapter, since both are shallow, petty, and manipulative. Melissa was simply [[EvilVersusEvil the lesser of two evils]], by virtue of [[NominalHero being the protagonist]] and because of the wand's influence.
* TooGoodToLast: The news that ''Magick Chicks'' and ''Webcomic/EerieCuties'' would soon be going on indefinite hiatus was met with [[http://www.pixietrixcomix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=535403#p535403 much disappointment]] by its readership; especially in light of the ''Webcomic/MenageA3'' [[http://www.pixietrixcomix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=535439#p535439 related comics continuing.]]
* TheWoobie:
** Callista was [[UnwittingPawn unaware that she was being used]] [[spoiler: by Cerise]], as a stepping stone, on her rise to the [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/more_provocative top of Artemis's social ladder.]] So you can imagine how well she took it, when she finally learned the truth. Which happened only moments before [[spoiler: Cerise]] [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness tried to kill her]], along with the rest of the student council.
** Skye had a genuine crush on Cerise, but was only used by her to [[OperationJealousy make Callista jealous.]] When Cerise and Callista [[RelationshipUpgrade hooked up]], she [[TryingNotToCry tried to be happy]] for them, but failed and ran off in tears. Even ''Cerise'' felt a bit sorry for her.
** [[TheAce Faith]] eventually became one, herself, after [[spoiler: [[EvilRedhead Cerise]] revealed her popularity was due to [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/even_her_enemies Faith's powers syncing with the school]]]]. Which lead her to abdicate her position to Mel. The worse part being, it was unintentional, but she has no way to prove it. So she'll be remembered as the girl who [[spoiler: mindbent the school]], [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished despite pulling a 'hail mary']] [[http://www.magickchicks.com/strips-mc/the_other_half to help save it.]]
