* BigLippedAlligatorMoment: The ''WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButtHead'' sketches scattered throughout ''Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven'', made even more shocking since Creator/MikeJudge himself ''actually'' provided the voices of the characters.
* BrokenBase: ''Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven''. Fans will either love it for its weird noisy rock experimentation and depressing lyricism, or absolutely despise it for pretty much the exact same reasons, what with Cudder's bad singing, the rudimentary songwriting and overall bland guitar work, and the quality of the lyrics being very questionable. [[note]]Not that they don't come from a genuine place[[/note]] Also the matter with the aforementioned WesternAnimation/BeavisAndButthead interludes.
* SugarWiki/FunnyMoments: The music video for the Crookers remix for "Day n' Night".
* HarsherInHindsight: On "Soundtrack to My Life", he mentions struggling and considering trying cocaine. In between his first and second albums he briefly became addicted to cocaine.
* MemeticBadass: Cudi became one around WebVideo/TheNeedleDrop's fanbase due to being the only artist to ever both receive a ''0/10'' (for ''Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven'', [[BrokeTheRatingScale the lowest score Anthony Fantano has ever given]]) ''and'' an exceedingly rare 10/10 (as part of Kids See Ghosts alongside Music/KanyeWest and [[Music/KidsSeeGhosts their self-titled album]]).
* MemeticMutation: "No more chicken sandwiches, yes I'll pay for the damages."
** His signature humming and yodels.
** “Nigga, the cops outside.”- from “The Scott’s” with Music/TravisScott.
* SugarWiki/MostWonderfulSound: Again, his trademark hums, particularly the one from "Reborn" off ''Kids See Ghosts''.
* TearJerker:
** A few songs off of ''Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven'' may be this, such as "Embers", which is about his father passing away.
** In October 2016, Cudi revealed that he checked himself into rehab due to depression and suicidal urges. Gives a whole new context to both ''Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven'' and ''Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin[='=]'', now does it?
* WinBackTheCrowd: Compared to ''Speedin' Bullet 2 Heaven'', ''Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin[='=]'' has received far more acclaim with its back-to-basics sound. If audiences still weren't won over by it, they definitely were with the release of Cudi's Music/KanyeWest collaboration ''Kids See Ghosts'', which became his most universally-praised album since ''Man on the Moon''.
