Then, out of nowhere, they begin shooting the statues with lasers, which destroys them and sends the Traags scrambling. The fact that the film is a whole [[ItsShortSoItSucks 20 minute shorter than most animated films]] makes it feel more like a WriterCopOut to an actual final battle when the producers ran out of funds.]]
5	* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: If you like 1970s jazz fusion, then Alain Gorageur's score is just for you.
6	** The [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNmUNFI75eU ending credits theme]] is guaranteed to give you chills - Especially with that jazzy guitar. The song itself makes you feel like you were a part of Terr's victory against the horrors of Ygam, if not against the Traags themeselves.
7	** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6l3Mn_llfIg Deshominisation I]] is a cool, if morbid march of a song that plays during the darkest scene of the film. Never before has jazz fusion sounded so menacing. Small wonder why it was remixed for the show ''[[WesternAnimation/SuperJail Superjail!]]''
8	* CultClassic: Usually shelved in the "cult" section to boot. The fact that it was brought overseas by Creator/RogerCorman, the grand master of cult flicks, also helps.
9	* SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments:
10	** Despite treating him rather meanly at times, Tiwa genuinely loves and cares about Terr as a pet.
11	** Tiwa teaching Terr how to free himself from the crystals that grow out of the ground: by whistling. The young Terr then whistles the film's theme music.
12	** When Terr learns of the Hollow Bush bandits in the middle of their robbery, he seems more curious than terrified at the prospect of more Oms. He later takes a huge risk to warn the bandits of the extermination and gains their trust. It's highly implied that he wanted more solidarity between Oms, even if they were from rival factions. While he couldn't save them all, the surviving Hollow Bush bandits join him and the rest of the Oms to safety.
13	* QuirkyWork: It was made by Czech avant-garde artists in 1973, so this is to be expected.

15	** The natives of the planet are called "Traags" in the original French version. The English dub calls them "Draags."
16	** You'd be forgiven for thinking that Tiwa's name is spelled "Tiva" since they pronounce the 'w' like the English 'v'. Justified in that the movie was animated and partly produced in Czechoslovakia, and both languages (Czech and Slovak) in that country pronounce the letter that way.
