* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Dracula here is . Was he ultimately a victim of fate and destiny?
* DracoInLeatherPants: Dracula, thanks to being played by Creator/GerardButler helps, he's a vampire, and he's a JerkassWoobie.
* HarsherInHindsight: Danny Masterson going all ApologeticAttacker on Simon after turning into a vampire just before getting killed for the second time is a lot more wincing considering Masterson later has been charged with raping three women between 2001 and 2003.
* Narm:
** Between the awkward dialogue, the actors' performances (be it the DullSurprise or those who TookTheBadFilmSeriously), this movie has cheese written all over it. Though some would argue that it's part of the enjoyment.
** As Maven of the Eventide pointed out in her own review of the film, the movie's attempts at being HotterAndSexier were just laid on too thick to be taken seriously.
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: As if the title alone wasn't enough of a giveaway for the film's time period, Dracula's Matrix-inspired BadassLongcoat, the NuMetal soundtrack, and the ProductPlacement for Virgin Megastores (which has since pulled out of the US with the decline of record stores in general) all take what was intended as a modernization of the Dracula story and leave it feeling arguably more dated than a film that was made in 1931.
