1	* AluminumChristmasTrees: In one StoryArc, Artie is taken to a NAMBLA meeting after being MistakenForPedophile. The author [[NotMakingThisUpDisclaimer had to assure people]] that it was a real organization and not something he made up for the comic.
2	* BaseBreakingCharacter:
3	** Joel Calley is this in spades. He's either a [[TheScrappy Scrappy]], or a case of DracoInLeatherPants. In some cases, it boils down to whether one finds him awesome and/or attractive.
4	** Matt along the course of the webcomic. In the wake of [[spoiler:Matt's apparently willing and aware embrace of Joel's supervillainy]], the fanbase reaction charted a course for DracoInLeatherPants.
5	** And [[spoiler: Artie]] as the comic came closer to its finale [[spoiler: what with him becoming more of a MagnificentBastard than Joel could ever hope to be. Once someone who had a vibe of being a [[BrilliantButLazy good natured slacker]], attaining Melusine as his Spiritual Symbiote has brought him to the same path as our former [[VillainProtagonist 'Hero']] and only just managed to avoid being worse]].
6	* DracoInLeatherPants: Joel and [[spoiler:Matt]], and arguably also [[spoiler:Artie]]. When Immelmann is commissioned to draw porn of any of their characters, it’s usually the former two and/or Nicole.
7	** Fan responses of Joel have been of a similar note, often glossing over Joel's horrific actions because he's sexy and/or because they refer to Miranda being completely at fault despite Joel's sadism and willingness to help her cause suffering.
8	* SugarWiki/{{Funny Moment\|s}}: Joel's response to hearing that the health inspector is coming is to spot a random passerby who happens to be wearing a trenchcoat and wide-brimmed hat and shoot him. His boss stares briefly, then says "The health inspector is a ''woman."'' Cue Joel shooting the first passing female.
9	* MemeticBadass: The Baron became this in the space of [[http://concessioncomic.com/index.php?pid=20100905 a single comic]].
10	** Immelmann changing their sig on [[http://forum.concessioncomic.com/ the forum]] didn't help.

14	** Joel Calley definitely crosses the Moral Event Horizon during the various acts of his complicated revenge plot. Among the worst are causing a child's parents to die in a car crash and giving his friend Artie cancer in order to kill him.
15	** Artie himself had a moment, [[spoiler:making the oil tanker crash into the Dolphin city as revenge for Melusine's "honor killing" murder]]. However, it's ambiguous if he actually fully intended to do it. Or if he made the decision himself, as [[spoiler:Melusine]]'s ghost is later revealed.

26	** And Matt indulges in infantilism and likes to wear diapers. In general, the webcomic is full of these sorts of moments. And they often result if you're not fond of [[AuthorAppeal a fetish that Immelmann favors]].
27	* ViewerGenderConfusion: Zoe is actually a male crossdresser.
