16	* CrossesTheLineTwice: In the context of Patch's troubling past [[spoiler:as he deals with Anonimo's increasingly abusive behavior]] by watching television: ''Somehow, watching a pair of Feraligatr tear each other apart was soothing for him.''
17	* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Mr. Vortex's obsession with Semi-Legendaries is scarily played like an addiction to pornography, especially when he and his wife divorce and their kids start breaking down in different ways. The oldest son, Anonimo, then starts taking after dad on the obsession, and it may have contributed to the high standards he set on his Pokémon (and the subsequent abuse if they don't meet the standards; [[spoiler:ironically, the weakest and most abused of his Pokémon (the main character, Cindy) ''was a Semi-Legendary]]).''
18	** [[spoiler:The Malonix Virus Cindy receives is basically an STI]].
19	* EnsembleDarkhorse: Celebi. Simply for being a hilarious ManipulativeBastard with the best one-liners.
20	** Out of the [[spoiler:Quiltuplets]], it seems as if others like to draw Copper the most, whether or not they read the story. It might have something to do with his {{Moe}} appeal combined with his Shiny status.
21	* GrowingTheBeard: Once Anonimo returned into the picture and the Malonix first appeared, it could be safe to say that the story became a whole lot better, ''especially'' after Cindy evolved.

23	** In one scene, Trina's paranoid about "Explosive Blood Disease." [[spoiler: Later on, the gang is attacked by Team Vortex and has "Explosive Blood Serum" injected into them.]]

25	** [[spoiler:In one scene, Canela says some unnecessarily mean comments about Cindy's LoveInterest, even so much as to bring up the scenario of him getting bitten by a Malonix. A few dozen chapters later, ''it happens.'']]
26	* HilariousInHindsight: Late into the story, a character named 'Sombra' is introduced. Much to the amusement of the author, the villain of the Season 3 premiere of ''WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic'' happened to be 'King Sombra.' She created artwork [[LampshadeHanging lampshading]] it.
27	** Also, [[spoiler:Sombra resembles a shiny Quilava from G/S/C]].
28	** When seeing Jamie's relationship with Buzz, Quinn and Charlie shake their heads and decide that neither will fall in love because it's confusing (according to Charlie), and because it's ridiculous (according to Quinn). Come the later chapters: [[spoiler:Quinn falls for Jamie in the most ridiculous manner (it's quite hilarious), and later, Charlie falls for Diana and is rather confused over what to do about it, since she had been pretty mean to him]].
29	* IKnewIt: [[spoiler:Patch was Anonimo's Croconaw]].
30	** [[spoiler:Cindy was pregnant during the segment when Charlie learns to fly]].
31	* {{Moe}}: Cindy was this before becoming a {{Tsundere}} BrokenBird. She still retains some Moe qualities whenever she's in a good mood.
32	** Alyssa. Especially her early appearances as a ten-year-old, where she is just the biggest {{Adorkable}} CloudCuckooLander you'd ever meet.
33	** Chelsea and Cinnamon. What do you expect from someone with YouthfulFreckles and her CuteKitten?
34	** [[spoiler:Ash's Cyndaquil]]. In the story, he is written as undoubtedly bashful and childlike. Even as he grows older, he still retains Moe-ness in some manner, even when by all rights, he should be friggin' scary.
35	** Allison and Hailey. Let's face it... it's a girl and her PreciousPuppy (although said puppy is a DeadpanSnarker).
36	** Alexis. And Trina to some extent.
37	** Quinn and Charlie are also this. With Quinn being an AdorablyPrecociousChild and Charlie being an {{Adorkable}} {{Keet}}. What's amazing is when they're fully evolved, and while Quinn's Moe-ness dies down, Charlie remains absolutely adorable as a Charizard!
38	** Amber. This [[CheerfulChild Cheerful]] PluckyGirl just screams cuteness, especially with a personality based on [[{{WesternAnimation/Tangled}} Rapunzel's]]. Her brothers Copper and Blaze count as well.
39	** Mantle. Come on, he's a curious and cuddly hamster!
40	** Ivy counts as well. Seriously, a Servine should not be as cute as she is!
41	** From her few appearances so far, Minnie is turning out to be this. Perhaps it was passed down from her [[spoiler:father, Charlie]] (but in all honesty, she was based on [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Mabel Pines]]).
42	** And let's not forget the entire Fakemon species of {{Moe}}: ''Benenix.''
43	* MoralEventHorizon: Oh, Anonimo. It's hard to tell when yours is:
44	** [[spoiler: The scene in Chapter Six, where he whips poor Cindy(who, as a Cyndaquil less than a year old, is the equivalent of a small child; not to mention she's malnourished and still bears bruises from earlier beatings) into a bloody pulp just for ''pushing him out of the way of a lightning strike.'']] True, he didn't know about it but that's no excuse for doing that. What cements it as a contender for MEH is [[spoiler:his burial of her Pokeball. [[AndIMustScream With her inside it.]]]]
45	** How about [[spoiler: the Explosive Blood Serum? Yes, he was ready to blow up not only a young adult and a couple of teenagers, but a ''nine-year-old child'' and their Pokemon just because Cindy was a Semi-Legendary that he wanted back.]]
46	** And finally, [[spoiler:when he shoots Jenna. Keep in mind that Jenna belonged to his (deceased) sister. Then he threatens to kill Alyssa. [[SugarWiki/MomentOfAwesome Cue a ticked-off Cindy evolving and going BFF on him]]]].
47	** A Malonix's MEH would have to be [[spoiler:convincing Malo!Ty to try to kill the Quiltuplets, and when it doesn't work, goads him into trying a second time!]]. To say that Cindy was thoroughly ticked off is an understatement, and one of the most {{tearjerk\|er}}ing]] [[BattleAmongstTheFlames battles]] ensues...
48	* OneSceneWonder: Sugar Rush Willie. Watching a normally polite and reserved character go berserk once he tries sugar was very memorable.
49	** Now SRW is a two-scene wonder...
50	** "Copperrage." Named after an incident that Ty described where Copper [[spoiler:went Blue Fire Frenzy and completely '''owned''' two Steelix]]. Poor Copper can NeverLiveItDown.
51	* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap: At first, readers were not fond of Joey, due to him being introduced as a little brat. However, CharacterizationMarchesOn, and readers came to like him for the fact that despite his attitude, he quite clearly cares for his younger siblings ([[spoiler:For example, he took on a crazed Sombra by himself just to save his sister Amber]]), much like an older brother would in real life (helps that he's based on the author's brother). He also has some pretty funny moments.
52	* ShipTease: Although romance is not the main focus (and frankly not the author's strong suit), there's still a bunch of this to go around.
53	* TheScrappy: None of the readers liked Anonimo, to the point of actively punishing him in artwork! Not even his backstory lightened the audience's view of him, and they often bemoan why he changed from a nice little boy to an abuser who's responsible for Cindy's aggressive behavior and [[spoiler:Patch's EmotionSuppression]].
54	* StrangledByTheRedString: Cindy and Ty did seem to have good development--until they actually got together. The story arc concerning the two was rushed, making it seem like this trope for that section.
55	** Quinn and Jamie's relationship was handled poorly...
56	** And then there's Blaze and Dora, who got together too fast to be believable, even In-Universe. [[spoiler:It was just a ruse on Dora's half]].
57	* SugarWiki/SweetDreamsFuel: Naturally, [[RidiculouslyCuteCritter Benenix]].
58	* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Plenty of characters. The author has once lamented that characters Sammy (a ButtMonkey Squirtle) and Eve (a tomboyish peacemaking Eevee) were DemotedToExtra--they were the first two Pokémon that Alyssa caught after all. They were introduced as saner counterparts to [[{{Tsundere}} Cindy]], due to Sammy realizing that holding a grudge would only hurt him, and Eve attempting to fill the role of peacemaker. They were wonderful foils--until Cinnamon and Chelsea came along, and later Allison and Hailey (and Celebi!). Luckily, it seems like Sammy is marching out of the background in the "Bittersweet Days" segment.

60	** Wouldn't Kendra have made a great TeamMom? She is a Kengaskhan!
61	** Rita the Chikorita was going to be TheDitz, but then Trina came along and usurped that role from her.

63	*** Some potential is getting squeezed out of Nutmeg, Yue, and Jake, though.
64	* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: Oh, the unexplored possibilities in that fusion segment...
65	** The Johto adventures that Chelsea and Alyssa had, but were only mentioned would have been interesting stories. Cindy's fight against evolution could have been shown more often as well.
66	** And Cinnamon and Hailey's rivalry should have had more screen time, as well as the Team Vortex attacks.
67	** Chelsea and Alexis got [[NoodleIncident kidnapped by trees!]]

69	** Cindy's had a rough first year of life. Having been beaten, starved, and condemned to a FateWorseThanDeath, thanks to Anonimo, it's no wonder she's got that temper. But she has proven herself quite the IronWoobie at times.
70	** JerkassWoobie: You can't deny that Cindy tends to be a real jerk; yet her backstory can make one squirm and as such, pity her. As a [[spoiler:Semi-Legendary]], she already possessed greater power than others of her kind. However, thanks to the above abuse, she channels it through anger, sometimes peaking at [[spoiler:Blue Fire Frenzy]], which she once used to destroy half a town, where she nearly crosses into WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds territory. And this is just as a Cyndaquil.
71	** Ty is one as well. Having a [[spoiler:SuperpoweredEvilSide brought upon by a Malonix virus]] is the source of his angst when it's focused on.
72	** Jenna. See TearJerker for details.
73	** Quinn, since growing up in an ill-kept 'jail cell' could not have been good for his health, as well as [[spoiler:being forced to escape by his mother, Jenna, and then nearly dying a few times]].
74	** Alyssa, during the first couple weeks of her Pokémon journey. She has to drag the most ill-tempered Cyndaquil all over the place, and tries to [[StepfordSmiler keep a cheery countenance]] for the Fire Mouse, even when repeatedly roasted by her. When she finally snaps at the Pokémon, you can detect all the pent-up anger and frustration in her ReasonYouSuckSpeech.
75	** StoicWoobie: Patch. [[spoiler:Turns out he's not only a former Pokémon of Anonimo, he was his starter! He's a firsthand witness of Anonimo's StartOfDarkness and JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope]], to the point where he became jaded.
