* AlternateCharacterInterpretation: It takes half of the series, but Mikuni turns out to be a {{Well Intentioned Extremist}} that wants to [[spoiler: protect the present by sacrificing the future.]]
* {{Anvilicious}}: The series favors austerity, arguing that spending money sacrifices the future to make the present better.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Several of the tracks such as [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kle8Jgi7Y7E Invisible hand]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwYsAyTl_t8 Stay Away From Blood Money!]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=40nqc6A6kAo Prospect Theory]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YAAn56MvGE Bondage Head]], [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-DpRWzJVIo Antiphona]] and finally the track that plays during [[spoiler:Kimimaro's and Mikuni's final battle,]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5o0f_2Wfr_g The Wealth of Nations]].
%%* CreepyAwesome: Masakaki.
* GeniusBonus: As the story develops, people familiar with economics will see the many aspects of the show which are metaphors for real life economic terms and issues, one of the most prominent being the idea of [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opportunity_Cost "opportunity cost"]] which Kimimaro and Mikuni are eventually shown to represent opposite sides of.
** The intro has a lot of equations used in finance.
** C is also a metaphor for the recent financial crisis/stock market crisis in general and the chain effect which it has on the world economy.
* IAmNotShazam: Sennoza's Asset is called Karma (Karuma, as Sennoza pronounces it). However people often mistakenly call it "Angel", which is actually the name of the Flation it uses.
* MemeticMutation
** "Msyu is yours": In-show, the announcer declares that an asset "is yours" if you purchase some of its stock during one of its battles. Among fans it's a reference to Msyu's status as MsFanservice.
** "A-A-A-A-A-ANGEL!": from episode 6, where Kimimaro's opponent Kou Sennoza wields an angelic asset that uses a Flation named Angel, which drops lightning bolts on the target. The meme comes from a moment where Sennoza sets up several Angels at once, causing the Deal announcer's voice to stutter.
* OnlyTheAuthorCanSaveThemNow: Mikuni was the only Entre with a Black Card. He could do whatever he wanted with the Rotary Press, and the heroes had no means to fight against him. When Kimimaro goes up against him, [[spoiler: why, look, the mysterious higher-ups had issued Kimimaro a Black Card, giving him the right to deal against Mikuni for control of Japan's futures]].
%%* ParanoiaFuel
%%* RoboShip: Kimimaro and Msyu.
