* JustHereForGodzilla: There's only [[Creator/JenniferLawrence one reason]] anyone still watches ''The Bill Engvall Show'' -- and it's not Bill Engvall himself.
* MemeticMutation: "Here's your sign" has become synonymous with the AskAStupidQuestion premise and spawned many imitators.
* RetroactiveRecognition: Made memorable guest appearances on ''Series/DesigningWomen'' and ''Series/GoldenPalace'' in the early 1990s before he reached fame on the stand-up comedy circuit.
** ''The Bill Engvall Show'' is better remembered as the starting point for Creator/JenniferLawrence than for anything related to Engvall himself.
** Although it is worth noting that the role of the wife on ''The Bill Engvall Show'' was played by Creator/NancyTravis, who later played the role of the wife on the Tim Allen vehicle ''Series/LastManStanding,'' suggesting strongly that she HasAType.
* ValuesDissonance: In 1998, the second half of the "T-Ball and Indian Guides" segment on ''Dorkfish'', where Bill recalls him and his son taking a course on Native American culture from a guide who is CampGay simply because he's from Hollywood, would have read as an AwkwardFatherSonBondingActivity. But Bill's overbearing gay stereotypes (joking that said guide's Native American name was "Dances with Men" and that since he obviously didn't have a son, he brought his nephew "Flaming Bow"; that their course involved listening to Music/BarbraStreisand instead of re-enacting Custer's Last Stand; or "Dances with Men" warning his troop of the pink rattlesnake, which Bill claims is identifiable because it hisses with an effeminate lisp) can nowadays come off as offensive to both the LGBT community ''and'' the Native American community.
