* HarsherInHindsight: Bean says he's going away forever, which becomes more relevant as he was PutOnABus after 2005.
* HilariousInHindsight: Statler and Waldorf's exchange about "the guy in the Goofy mask" was funny enough to begin with, but thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, following the reopening everyone had to wear face masks in the theater...which drastically increased the chances that someone really ''was'' wearing a Goofy mask during that line! (albeit, not quite the kind they were likely referring to)
* OlderThanTheyThink: Bean Bunny and Waldo C. Graphic weren't created for the film. Bean was the main protagonist of the 1986 special ''Film/TheTaleOfTheBunnyPicnic'', and Waldo was introduced in ''Series/TheJimHensonHour''. This ended up being their best-known appearance.
* SacredCow: This was the final Muppet production Jim Henson was involved with before he died, which might explain why Disney hasn't closed the attraction at Hollywood Studios (The version at Disney California Adventure was shut down in November 2014 after a 13 year run.) with Muppet*Vision's section of Streets of America being the only part of the area to be spared from the ''[[Ride/StarWarsGalaxysEdge Galaxy's Edge]]'' demolition in 2016. It also would explain why the main show has been left relatively untouched during its nearly three decade run, with the exception of a digital remastering of the film in 2009. It helps that the show continues to be incredibly popular amongst both park goers and especially Muppet fans to this very day, on top of it being the only real attraction dedicated to the otherwise underrepresented Muppets in the parks.
* TheScrappy: While Waldo C. Graphic is meant to be [[HateSink annoying]] in-universe, many found him to be ''[[GoneHorriblyRight too]]'' annoying, with many disliking him for his obnoxious voice, his creepy, [[NonStandardCharacterDesign bizarre CGI design]], and how his constant antics get in the way of The Muppets performance. The Tough Pigs fansite [[https://toughpigs.com/muppetvision-waldo/ also argues]] that part of the reason why Waldo never caught on with audiences was that he was less of a character and more of a cheap gimmick, having next to nothing to him that makes endearing to the audience and largely only existing as a way to showcase Jim Henson's then-new digital puppetry technology and to provide cheap visual gags. It shouldn't come as a surprise that Waldo would be [[PutOnABus not be featured in any more Muppet productions after this show]].
%%* TakeThatScrappy: The Muppets aren't thrilled to have Waldo around. Swedish Chef takes so much pleasure in shooting Waldo.
* TheyChangedItNowItSucks: Muppet fans were not pleased when Disney replaced the original sign with a more generic marquee sign in 2016, nor were they pleased with the gradual removal of some of the Muppet theming from the theatre exterior and the surrounding area shortly afterwards. On the other hand, much of it does remain and the subsequent opening of [=PizzeRizzo=] restaurant nearby actually upped the Muppet detailing, with even the block of restrooms across from the theater being redubbed "Gonzo's Royal Flush"!
* UnintentionalPeriodPiece:
** When [[spoiler:the Swedish Chef blows up the back wall of the stage, revealing the park guests outside]], the guests are clearly wearing 90s clothes.
** Bean Bunny’s prominence in the show also sets this in the 80s/early 90s when Bean was given a fairly big push in Muppets media. He would be pushed OutOfFocus shortly afterwards before being PutOnABus from 2006 onwards.
* ValuesResonance: The show's riffing on the "cheap 3D tricks" and overuse of CGI in [[UsefulNotes/ThreeDMovie 3D movies]] has only become more relevant in the modern era of CGI-heavy 3D blockbusters.
* TheWoobie: Bean, who is constantly shunned from the other Muppets who are too busy to hear out his ideas. It comes to the point where, once he decides to run away, you can't blame him for doing so.
