1	* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: Are the Shadows really as evil as the fic says? Or are they simply trying to survive their own inevitable demise? And are they simply annoyed to insanity from having no choice but to [[JerkassWoobie listen in on their]] [[AndIMustScream Light Halves' quirks throughout their whole lives]]?
2	* AssPull: The Queen having the ability to ignore the rules of magic (read: bringing back the dead) while in her SuperMode come completely out of left field.
3	* EnsembleDarkhorse: The Shadow Ojamajos are this despite having the weakest characterization, having had more interest from the readers than the author's other original characters.
4	* HilariousInHindsight: This fic has the Witch Queen gain angelic wings and thus look less like a witch and more like an angel in 2010-2011. Fast forward to ''Anime/MahoGirlsPrecure'' in early 2015, and we see both Precures gaining a set of angelic wings toward the end of ''[[Anime/PrettyCureAllStars Everyone Sing - Miraculous Magic]]'', where they look less like Witch Precures and more like angels.
5	* HoYay: The main pairing of this fic is Majorin x the Queen, both of whom are female.
6	* MoralEventHorizon: When Black Queen allows the Shadow Ojamajos to murder their light halves in cold blood right in front of the Queen. The Queen even outright states that they "don't deserve to exist" after it happens.
7	* ParanoiaFuel: This fic is about {{Living Shadow}}s coming to life to do god-knows-what to you and the rest of the world. Sweet dreams...
8	* RomanticPlotTumor: The sub-plot of Majorin actually loving the Queen ultimately takes precedence over the fight between Light Beings and Shadows. Said sub-plot isn't mentioned in the summary whatsoever and only comes into play around the middle of the story, yet the main plot of Light vs. Shadows eventually comes off as just an ExcusePlot for shoving Majorin x the Queen down the reader's throats. The sequel, going by external sources and what is already written, is just as bad.
9	* StrangledByTheRedString: Majorin and the Queen. There was no true reason or explanation whatsoever for their romantic interest toward the end of the fic other than "the author likes the pairing". In fact, it would seem the entire story is little more than a glorified ExcusePlot to shove one of the author's favorite pairings down everyone's throats; the only other thing would be to show off the Queen's fanmade SuperMode.
10	* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The story's prologue spoke of various Shadows dying off screen and it being a reason why Black Queen is gathering her forces to try and TakeOverTheWorld. It would have been interesting to see more details added and it would have given Black Queen more depth as a character, but this was completely dropped in favor of both making her look more evil AND [[RomanticPlotTumor cementing one of the author's favored pairings]].
11	* WriterCopOut: The story slowly builds up to a final battle against the Shadows for the fate of all worlds and we're in for an epic showdown. Most of the other heroes are dead either from HeroicSacrifice or having fallen in battle, and the Queen is the only one left standing. Then...we get the Queen swiping the MacGuffin and going into a DeusExMachina SuperMode that just curbstomps the bad guys without the slightest of difficulty. Then we have said Queen using her SuperMode to bring back the other heroes and not die because its a SuperMode that lets her ignore the rules of magic.
