* AccidentalInnuendo: The Spider Queen's song is meant to be a creepy tune about spiders intentionally crawling on people to frighten them. However, some of the lines sound a bit steamy out of context. It doesn't help that the song has a slow, jazzy style, kind of like lounge music.
-->"And I'll attack once I get in your underwear"\
"Long hairy legs / that make you beg"
* SugarWiki/AwesomeArt: The game's artwork is truly stunning, with a hand-painted aesthetic.
* SugarWiki/AwesomeMusic: Both games have incredible soundtracks. Not only are there several, classic-Disney-esque musical numbers, but the overworld music in each level is whimsical and immersive, and each instrumental tune has multiple Variable Mixes depending on where you are in the level.
* NightmareFuel:
** All of the Villain Songs can be scary, but multiple commenters have noted that the Spider Queen's song in the first game is especially creepy. While most of the villain songs are fast and heart-pumping, her song is slow and eerie. In the lyrics, the Spider Queen sings about how she and her fellow spiders crawl on people to terrify them, and it's downright sadistic how much she enjoys it. Also, some parts of her song have a VoiceOfTheLegion effect.
** In Creed Valley, Dusty thinks he can put a stop to the Jester by putting them in a cage. Boy, is he wrong. When the Jester realizes they've been tricked and that Dusty never actually wanted to party with them, [[spoiler:they are infuriated. They burst out of the cage, grow enormous, and start chasing Dusty and Piper in a surprisingly intense AdvancingBossOfDoom. The screen turns reddish as the Jester is surrounded by swirling black and red smoke. Obstacles block the way, and the enemies become much more aggressive than usual. The Jester roars in fury, while the background music sounds like a mix between heavy metal and CreepyCircusMusic]].
* ObviousJudas: In the Principle Square level of Figment 2, Dusty must solve the mystery of which Opinion knocked the Opinion on Justice unconscious. If you've been paying even the slightest attention to the humans' story, specifically the fact that , it should be no surprise that did it. The Allegorical Characters in the Mind for the humans' story are very obvious.
* ShockingMoments:
** In the first game, the Fear-Of-Loss during the final battle.
** In Figment 2: Creed Valley:
*** The Jester [[spoiler:getting violently infuriated]] after Dusty traps them in a cage. Seeing them so quickly is truly jarring.
*** Dusty in the final battle. It's the first, and so far, only time he has done so in the series.
