* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: In Sandoval's advert for King's Come Camp, a recent "graduate" flatly states "Gross, I'm straight" after his overjoyed father hugs him. Is his disgust in reaction to the physical affection, or to how he was forced to stop behaving in a flamboyant manner and act like a heterosexual? [[spoiler: The end of the episode, where the "campers" shrug off their lessons and coupled with how few of Sandoval's reeducation techniques appear to work as intended, implies the camp doesn't actually work and the graduates are just hiding their more flamboyant selves, making a case for the second option.]]
* AnimationAgeGhetto: Brazillian conservatives appear to be under the delusion that this show is aimed at children, trying to cancel it. In case you're not smart enough to see past the obvious non-child-friendly character designs, there is a disclaimer before each episode.
* Squick: The close-ups shots of someone's bulge, for some. Combined with the unfitting art style and the disproportionate size, it comes off as FetishRetardant, even if it's on a hot guy.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot: The show tackles certain issues found within the gay community by ADayInTheLimelight focusing on each Super Drag in a given episode, such as body and fem shaming (Patrick), IHaveNoSon family rejection and conversion therapy (Ralph), and austerity (Donizete). Unfortunately, the topics are merely touched upon which are constantly undercut by rapid-fire jokes and pop culture references. Due to the entire season only containing five 23 to 25-minute episodes, said issues are resolved as quickly as they're introduced.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsNotForKids: The show has gotten this reaction due to its designs, from a distance at least, making it look a lot more like a kids show (especially in comparison to other adult shows). Assumingly because of this, an age warning is given in the beginning of each episode saying that the series isn't suitable for anyone under 16.This is likely in accordance to the Brazilian advisory rating system, as in the U.S. the series is rated TV-MA, but the English dub still states the 16+ rating.
* Woolseyism: The European Spanish dub does a lots of Spaniard references and jokes about the gay culture of the country, replacing many of the most local stuff from the Brazilian version:
** The city when the action takes place went from Guararahem to Murcia, a small Spaniard city.
** Another cultural joke was replaced with No veía tanto gay junto desde el funeral de La Veneno (I haven't see so many gay people since La Veneno's funeral), doing a reference about a famous late Spaniard transgender actress.
