* ArcFatigue: As usual with many Romcoms of this kind, some fans can feel the pacing of the romance is a bit too slow. It does pick up at Chapter 115 where but after that there are only 30 chapters left.
* BaseBreakingCharacter: Shiraishi. There are a lot of readers who dislike his reserved nature, feeling he rarely does anything for Kubo beyond responding to her teasing to the point of finding their relationship too one-sided or think he's too much of a doormat, with many finding him a boring character to the point that some fans agreed with Tama for not understanding what Kubo sees in him. However, he does have fans who love him for similar reasons Kubo likes him, appreciate his CharacterDevelopment, relate to his issues over his complete lack of presence and FriendlessBackground and argue his critics ignore the moments he does take the initiative and that his insecurities justify him being rather slow to respond to Kubo's antics.
* BrokenBase: The final chapters are well liked, but there's some contention between those fans who think they were good enough of a conclusion and are glad the series wrap it up everything nicely while it was still good instead of continuing indefinitely and those who think it felt rushed and wish the manga went for a bit longer to expand more on and what happened with the other characters.
* GrowingTheBeard: The first volumes were decent even if a bit formulaic. But around Volume 4 with the introduction of Sudo, the series has a noticeable ToneShift with Shiraishi getting more characters to interact with and slowly improving his social life and the interactions between him and Kubo becoming more meaningful that the more comedic teasing from the early chapters.
* Moe: Seita is quite possibly the cutest little brother you'll ever see in an anime.
* RelationshipWritingFumble: Tama and Sudo are established as Childhood Friends and never seem to have any attraction towards each other, with that said they spended most of their screentime together interchanging between being BirdsOfAFeather or bickering LikeAnOldMarriedCouple. In one chapter the thing that leads them to stop fighting about running tied together is that Shiraishi notes that the two would have cool and romantic vibes if they do it right which interest them both. As such most fans can't help but read their relationship more romantic that it end up being canonically.
* Shipping: Tama and Sudo ended the series as platonic Childhood Friends but many fans loved them as a potential BetaCouple to Shiraishi/Kubo, some fans even wished an spin-off focused on them for this same reason.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodCharacter: Despite the claims that Shirashi has become good friends with Hazuki and Tamao, he never interacted individually with them besides when they were in the same group. Likewise Hazuki was the only main character who never got ADayInTheLimelight and was limited to her interactions with the rest of the group.
* TheyWastedAPerfectlyGoodPlot:
** The most common criticism with the ending [[spoiler: is that it ends right after the RelationshipUpgrade happens, many fans wished the series went for a bit longer to actually shows us what the relationship between Kubo and Shiraishi could have being with only one extra showing them adapting to their relationship and a TimeSkip implying the two would eventually get married.]]
** As noted in RelationshipWritingFumble and Shipping, some fans thought Tama and Sudo had a bit too much chemistry together and were dissapointed they never got their own romantic arc.
