''Shuriken School'' is a Spanish/French cartoon, produced by Creator/{{Xilam}} (being one of its famous cartoons besides ''WesternAnimation/SpaceGoofs'' and ''WesternAnimation/OggyAndTheCockroaches'') and Zinkia Entertainment (responsible for ''WesternAnimation/{{Pocoyo}}''), and aired in the US in 2006 on {{Creator/Nickelodeon}}. It's about kids who attend a [[NinjaSchool school to learn how to be ninjas]]. The show primarily follows the antics of [[TheHero Eizan Kaburagi]], [[{{McNinja}} Jimmy B.]] and [[ActionGirl Okuni Dohan]]. If you hardly heard of it, that's no surprise. Nick pulled the show six episodes in. It was broadcast by [[Creator/ToonDisney Jetix]] in Europe and on Creator/{{YTV}} in Canada. Near the end of its run, the show received a movie titled ''Shuriken School: The Ninja's Secret'' or ''The Ninja's Secret: A Shuriken School Adventure'' which aired on Creator/{{Disney Channel}} Asia on December 21, 2007 and was released on [=DVD=] in the US on April 15, 2014.

!!This show provides examples of:

%%* ActionGirl: Okuni and Kita.
%%* {{Animesque}}: Very much so.
* BerserkButton: Do not EVER mess up anything Michiyo has been cleaning.
** As demonstrated in "The Big Illusion", the concept of being in love makes Okuni yell loud enough to make entire mountains tremble.
* BlackBeadEyes: All the characters have eyes that are drawn as tiny dots.
* BoardingSchoolOfHorrors: Both Shuriken and Katana, albeit in different ways. Shuriken's infrastructure is crumbling, and the school perpetually suffers from financial woes. Katana resembles a [[MilitarySchool military school]], complete with a [[DeanBitterman scary headmaster]] who doles out [[DisproportionateRetribution borderline abusive punishments for menial failures]].
%%* CatFight: Okuni and Ami stage one in "Kubo's Mystery".
%%* ChivalrousPervert: Vlad.
* ColorCodedForYourConvenience[=/=]RedOniBlueOni: The uniforms of Katana and Shuriken School's.
* ElaborateUniversityHigh: Both Shuriken and Katana house primary school children, yet both feature sprawling layouts. Shuriken School features a pond, and even a mountain.
%%* EvilTeacher: Vlad
%%* GenkiGirl: Ami
%%** Also Torrance, Missy, and Casey in "Cherry on the Cake".
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Eizan wields a green ruler.
%%* NinjaSchool: Shuriken School is basically this. Katana school, too.
%%* MayContainEvil: A very angry Vlad.
* PowerTrio: The main trifecta that Eizan forms with Okuni and Jimmy.
* RivalDojos: Katana school vs Shuriken school.
* SailorFuku: Ami always wears one, though no one else ever does.
* SchoolRivalry: The eponymous ninja school has a long rivalry with its EvilCounterpart, the Katana School.
* ShoutOut: Plenty.
** The show's entire premise. We have a trio of best friends attending a ninja school and getting up to daily misadventures. Said school is headed by an elderly principal and consists of a crew of quirky teachers, their school uniform is of a primary color which contrasts with the secondary color of their rivals, and they even have a FunnyAnimal among the cast. [[Manga/NintamaRantarou Now where have we heard that before...?]]
** The head of Katana school looks like Heihachi from the ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}'' series.
** Ami has the hairstyle and personality of Minako Aino, while she shares the first name of Ami Mizuno in ''Franchise/SailorMoon''.
** In "Pop Star for a Day", [[https://i.ytimg.com/vi/jk9w6te1idE/hqdefault.jpg Eizan and Okuni]] -- after their makeover -- resemble [[Manga/{{Naruto}} Naruto and Sarada]] respectively.[[note]]''Manga/{{Boruto}}'' not yet being conceived at the time of the episode's airing notwithstanding.[[/note]]
%%* TheMovie
* TwoGirlsToATeam: Ami and Okuni are the only two female students at Shuriken, and conveniently conform to the TomboyAndGirlyGirl dichotomy.
* UnwantedAssistance: Okuni is not too pleased with Eizan and Jimmy's "help" when she is being attacked by a dragon in "The Master of Darkness". Everytime they throw something at the dragon, it almost hits her. She even yells "Stop helping me!"
