''Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil'' was an animated comedy show on Creator/AdultSwim created by Creator/LorenBouchard, co-creator of ''WesternAnimation/HomeMovies'' and producer of ''WesternAnimation/DrKatzProfessionalTherapist''. Lucy, who is indeed [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin the daughter of the Devil]], is somewhat torn between helping her father with spreading evil across the world and living a healthy normal college life. She hangs out with an indie DJ who just so happens to be the second coming of Jesus Christ. Ironically, most of the time, she gets "JC" to help her dad out without meaning to. Meanwhile, they are all pursued by a ChurchMilitant faction of priests and nuns.

There has only been one season of 11 episodes that aired from October 30, 2005, to November 11, 2007. Bouchard acknowledged in August 2009 that Adult Swim has not renewed the show and that it is [[{{Cancelled}} "dead".]] Luckily for Bouchard, he [[WesternAnimation/BobsBurgers bounced back in a major way.]]

!!''Lucy, the Daughter of the Devil'' provides examples of:
* AffablyEvil: Satan. He's the devil, but he's just so low-key about it.
%%* AllCGICartoon: Lucy: The Daughter Of The Devil is notably Creator/AdultSwim's first all CGI cartoon.
%%* AngryEyebrows: Sister Mary.
%%* AntiAntiChrist: Lucy seems very unwilling to be actively evil.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: Satan is...well, ''Satan'', he's raised the AntiChrist, he's committed mass murders, he wants to kill [[{{Pun}} DJ Jésus]]...but the most evil thing he does in the series is buy a crappy franchise restaurant chain.
* AttackOfThe50FootWhatever: In the last episode, [[spoiler: Senator Whitehead]] turns into one of these.
* BeardOfEvil: Satan has a full-on "Mirror [[Series/StarTrekTheOriginalSeries Spock]]" one of these.
* BerserkButton: Don't blow a raspberry around Satan. It ''really'' pisses him off.
* BigOlEyebrows: Father Giuseppe, to the extent that you hardly ever see his eyes.
* BlandNameProduct: Satan's restaurant franchise "Tequila Sally's" is pretty obviously based on "Chili's".
* TheBlindLeadingTheBlind: The Special Clergy are on a mission to find and kill the [=AntiChrist=], but apparently neither they nor their bosses at the Vatican have any idea what Lucy actually looks like, as she ends up being their waitress several times.
** Subverted in one episode. [[spoiler: Sister Mary does know and does attempt to kill Lucy. She fails.]]
* BrokenRecord: The Pope's less-than-competent beatboxing attempt.
--> '''Sister Mary:''' You can't just keep saying "beatbox"! Pass the mic!
* CartoonCreature: Terry the teratoma.
* CharlieAndTheChocolateParody: The Devil performs the Wonka duties here, giving a group of children a whimsical tour of a ''sex toy factory''.
* DaddysLittleVillain: Inverted. Lucy doesn't seem that concerned with helping further her dad's evil plans. If he even has any plans.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: Inverted; Lucy doesn't really have any far-reaching life goals.
* DysfunctionalFamily: Satan and Lucy, who seem to truly care about each other, but often bicker.
%%* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: The series title says it all.
%%* FantasticCatholicism
%%* FourFingeredHands: Most of the characters have these kind of hands.
* GoodEyesEvilEyes: Lucy and DJ Jésus have "good" eyes; Satan and (interestingly) Sister Mary have "evil" eyes.
* GoodIsNotNice:
** Sister Mary. She's not above killing people who she believes are hiding information or just in her way.
** DJ Jesus may be the second coming of our Lord and savior, but he can be kind of an insensitive jerk a lot of the time.
* HarmlessVillain: Satan is more or less this; he just doesn't seem to be good at coming up with evil plans.
* HartmanHips: Lucy has pretty big hips, although it's downplayed since they're only slightly bigger than her chest.
* LimitedWardrobe: Lucy seems to only have one outfit: a black t-shirt and a pair of hip-hugger blue jeans.
%%* NunsAreFunny: Sister Mary
* PedophilePriest: Inverted in one episode where a group of child vampires infiltrate the Catholic Church as altar and choir boys and start preying on the priests.
* ThePowerOfRock: Or rather, The Power of Rap. The [[spoiler: Senator Whitehead monster]] is only vulnerable to beatboxing.
%%* PunnyName: DJ Jésus
%%** And his best friend, wrangler and manager, DJ Judas.
%%* ShipTease: Lucy and Judas
* ShoutOut:
** A teratoma with deadly psychic powers? [[Manga/BlackJack You don't say...]]
** Satan wears Bill Cosby's sweaters from Series/TheCosbyShow. They're not ''like'' Cliff Huxtable's sweaters; he claims he actually got them ''from'' Bill Cosby.
%%* SpecialPersonNormalName: Lucy.
* ThisIsGonnaSuck: Satan's attitude to most of the things that interfere with his plans.
* TooMuchInformation: When Satan decides to open a sex toy factory, Lucy reveals she's a big fan of the company he bought and starts texting pictures of her favorite dildos to make her dad squirm.
* TwerpSweating: A Slight variation in the first episode, Lucy's date is made to wait in the living room while her father (literally Satan) distracts her with a phone call so he can telepathically induce her pet hellhound to convince her date to jump out of the window in her honor, a la the nanny in ''Film/TheOmen1976''.
* UnnamedParent: Lucy's mother is mentioned exactly once, in the pilot's InfoDump, when we are told she had Satan's kid in exchange for a Datsun 280 ZX.
* UnusuallyUninterestingSight: People's apparent reaction to Lucy's horns. And to her red-skinned, much larger-horned father, whose only concession to existing in human society is wearing slacks and plaid sweaters.
