''The Dragon Queen'' is a 2010 webcomic by Julie Konopka. It follows the adventures of Dragon Queen, a transvestite superhero in Harbor City. The webcomic suddenly went from dramatic storyline-based to [[GagPerDayWebcomics Gag A Day]] in February 2011 and then vanished off of the web later in the year. Some images are retained on the [[http://dragonqueencomic.tumblr.com/ Tumblr site]].

!!This work exhibits the following tropes:
* AndKnowingIsHalfTheBattle: [[http://www.dragonqueencomic.com/2010/08/18/transgender-tips/ Transgender Tips]]: A guide to how to pick up transsexuals, delivered courtesy of Dragon Queen randomly showing up in a guy's living room.
-->'''Jimmy:''' "Geez! I'm bored and I'm kind of horny. Maybe I should go online and try to pick up a hot she-male."
-->'''Dragon Queen:''' "Hang on there, Jimmy!"
* BottomlessMagazines: [[http://www.dragonqueencomic.com/2010/08/04/payback/ Averted]].
* CombatStilettos: Part of Dragon Queen's costume.
* FemmeFatalons: Sported by the demon in [[http://www.dragonqueencomic.com/2010/12/01/conversation-with-a-demon/ this strip]].
* HarmlessFreezing: [[http://www.dragonqueencomic.com/2010/11/15/bad-deals/ Noted to only be possible due to the character's powers]].
* LeotardOfPower: Another part of Dragon Queen's costume.
* MostCommonSuperpower: Invoked in-universe. Dragon Queen wears large falsies made of gel enclosed in bullet-resistant polymers, which are apparently sufficient to stop bullets as well as a bulletproof vest.
** [[http://www.dragonqueencomic.com/2011/05/09/bulletproof-boobs/ But they don't]] [[JigglePhysics jiggle right]]...
* OldRetainer: Roderick Pennywise has been Bradley's guardian since his parents died.
* ReverseCerebusSyndrome: Invoked by the author in [[http://www.dragonqueencomic.com/2011/02/21/notice-upcoming-changes/ March 2011]] for unspecified reasons mid-storyline.
* SamaritanSyndrome: Dragon Queen can't even finish an interview without having to head out to fight giant robotic wasps.
* SecretPublicIdentity: Bradley doesn't bother hiding the fact that he's the same person as Dragon Queen.
* SelfMadeOrphan: One of the interpretations of what is known about his origin.
* StupidSexyFlanders: Bradley's caretaker finds it [[http://www.dragonqueencomic.com/2010/06/14/regrets/ unnerving]] that his young ward is so attractive when dressed in drag.
* SuperHeroOrigin: Left somewhat vague. All that we know is that Brandon was somehow empowered in an event involving him being in the middle of a hermetic rune circle with a bloody knife in his hands, mourning the death of his parents and shouting, "I'm sorry! Please stay!"
* SuperStrength: So far restricted to a single lifting of a car using both hands off-screen.
* {{Transvestite}} / DragQueen: It's left a bit ambiguous as to where Bradley/Brandywine stands. He definitely crossdresses and in his origin arc, it's shown that he started crossdressing while doing a DragQueen show. He's often shown topless and it doesn't look like any surgery or horomone treatment has been done affecting his upper body. On the other hand, her caretaker later refers to "Bradley" as "her given name", indicating that Bradley now considers himself to be Brandywine, and in neither identity does he choose to try to pass.
* WingedHumanoid: Part of Dragon Queen's powerset is a set of leathery bulletproof bat wings.
* WreathedInFlames: Another part of Dragon Queen's powerset, invoked at will.
