After having spent her life being raised in a lab, Nana suddenly found herself living on the streets with no money, no food, no friends. Compounded by the fact that she had recently lost her limbs in an assassination attempt gone wrong, this proved to be a very trying experience for our young heroine. [[FromBadToWorse Yet her troubles were just about to begin...]]

A fan-comic based off of the {{Anime}}/{{Manga}} series ''Manga/ElfenLied'', coming to you courtesy of comic writer Creator/DanKim, ''Nana's Everyday Life'' branches off in a completely different direction from its source material, featuring several cast members from [[Manga/GunslingerGirl other series]], as well as a few original characters.

!!This comic provides examples of:

* AdaptationalVillainy: In ''Elfen Lied,'' Kurama is a man who at first seems to be cold and ruthless but in reality cares deeply for his daughters, Nana and Mariko. He even risks being fired (or worse) by smuggling Nana out of the research complex and giving her prosthetic limbs and money to live in the outside world after he was ordered to kill her due to her failure to capture Lucy. Instead of doing that here, he dumps her in a cardboard box on the streets and studiously ignores her when he runs into her later. He later responds to a missing person's ad for Nana put up by her adoptive parents, has them killed, and takes her back to the research complex all without showing any emotion. Even worse, given how [[http://manga.clone-army.org/nana.php?page=67&lang= some of the Diclonii at the research complex respond to him]], it's implied that he deliberately forges a father/daughter bond with some Diclonii to get them to obey him. So yeah, he's definitely a bastard here.
* AlternateContinuity: Starting off as a parody of ''Elfen Lied'', the comic soon branches into its own take on Nana and her unyieldingly terrible life.
%% * BarbieDollAnatomy: For art dissonance to the point of GrotesqueCute.
%% * BlackComedy: About the comedy part...
* BlackComedyRape: While homeless, Nana sleeps with Pedobear in exchange for a meal. At this point, the comic seems aware that it's gone a bit too far, ending the arc with a panel asking "IS THIS COMEDY?"
* BreakTheCutie: More like demolish. Starting with reducing Nana to a quadruple amputee and [[FromBadToWorse getting worse from there.]]
* TheCameo: [[VideoGame/MetalGear Solid Snake]] appears hidden under a box in page 21.
* CerebusSyndrome: Goes from having fun making her life hell (Pedobear gets a surprising early cameo) to just making her life hell, and then to making her life so horrible that just thinking about it makes the reader tear up...
%% * CharacterExaggeration
* TheChewToy: Why yes, it can be counted with one hand the few times Nana does ''not'' get verbally or physically abused in this comic. Rico is also subjected to a lot of torture by Henrietta and Triella.
%% * CigaretteBurns: [[http://manga.clone-army.org/viewer.php?&series=nana&page=19 Ouch!]]
%% * CrapsackWorld: [[CosmicPlaything The entire universe has it out for Nana.]]
%% * {{Crossover}}: Freely blending characters from several continuities along with new characters.
* DeconstructedTrope: It keeps pushing the "black" part of BlackComedy until you may start asking if it's truly funny anymore - lampshaded in the eleventh strip when the last panel asks "IS THIS COMEDY?"
* DiedHappilyEverAfter: [[spoiler: Happens to Nana in the epilogue. Nana, who spontaneously resurrects a dead kitten ''and'' makes the dank alley she dies in [[FertileFeet sprout beautiful flowers]]. She's also reunited with Marcelo and Minami, whose shadows are shown in the last few panels]].
%% * DownerEnding: In classic Victorian literature form.
%% * FromBadToWorse: To the point of being [[GallowsHumor hilarious]]... or just [[TearJerker tragic]].
* EyeScream: In page 19, Triella burns out Rico's left eye with a cigarette. [[UngratefulBastard After Rico informs her she finished a mission]]. What an ass.
%% * HopeSpot: [[spoiler:Just long enough to make the inevitable return that much more painful.]]
* FalseFriend: Mayu turns out to be this in page 24. She doesn't give a shit about Nana getting chewed out by Henrietta and being shunned away.
* HumanPet: Rico is outright kept inside a cage by Henrietta and Triella. Henrietta even encourages Mayu to beat her whenever she wants.
* GrotesqueCute: That cute picture up there? That's the style the comic is drawn in. These tropes? They are not cutesy.
%% * HumansAreBastards: With the exception of Marcelo and Minami after their CharacterDevelopment.
* {{Jerkass}}: [[Manga/GunslingerGirl Henrietta]], ''definitely''. She's almost always seen being a complete dick to Nana.
%% * MamaBear: [[http://manga.clone-army.org/nana.php?page=51〈= MAMA PUNCH!]]
%% * MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext: Lucy with a tail. 'Nuff said.
* OnceForYesTwiceForNo: [[http://manga.clone-army.org/viewer.php?&series=nana&page=64&lang=&HUDoff= The doctors]] at the lab asks this of Nana.
* PetTheDog: Triella has one in page 23. When she sees Nana taking care of Henrietta's baby chicks, Triella compliments her and gives a sound advice; not only do the chicks need food or water, the most important thing is giving them love.
* TheRunaway: Mayu, trying to get away from ParentalIncest.
%% * SadistShow: Played up to 11.
%% * ScaryShinyGlasses: Kurama.
%% * SerialEscalation: What horrible things will happen to Nana today?
%% * SevenIsNana: The protagonist.
%% * SmokingHotSex: Featuring Nana and [[BlackComedyRape whoever raped her most recently]].
%% * SnapBack: Everything except hideously painful mutilation.
* StatusQuoIsGod: The only universal constant is that Nana is in constant agony.
%% * TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: Nana didn't ask for all this!
* TheyKilledKennyAgain: Quite a few earlier comics involve Nana getting killed, only to return in the next comic. And likely get killed again. [[spoiler: At the end of the comic, however, [[KilledOffForReal she dies for real]].]]
* ThirdPersonPerson: In this comic, Nana often referrs to herself in the third person. Not to mention Mariko and another Diclonius that Kurama raises in the lab...
%% * YouBastard: "'''[[spoiler: [[http://manga.clone-army.org/nana.php?page=11&lang= IS THIS COMEDY?]]]]'''"
