Errant is a webcomic on Tapas, updating since September 2019, created by Kate "Tropers/DarthMongoose" Holden. An action comic about a young wannabe MagicKnight whose mentor draws Excalibur and becomes king, dragging her into a mess of politics.

It's [[SelfRemake a hard reboot]] of an older webcomic called [Webcomic/FanDanGo].

It generally updates every Friday on [[https://tapas.io/series/Errant Tapas]].

----
!![=Errant=] contains examples of:

* AerithAndBob: Character names range from Elrekia and Subo to... Juliet.
* AlternateUniverse: Britannia is a Britain where King Arthur was real, so the culture retains Romano-Celtic elements like Latin cuss words and people swearing to Sulis Minerva.
* {{Animesque}}: The style has a mixture of manga and western comics and cartoon influences.
* {{BFS}}: After the TimeSkip, Rekki has a new sword to replace the one she broke in the prologue that's ridiculously huge. Of course, Rekki does have SuperStrength but there's an element of RuleOfCool here too...
* ColorCodedCharacters: Each character has a strong theme colour, particularly after the prologue, usually based around their hair colour.
* CoolMask: Crow wears a distinctive one shaped like a bird's skull.
* CoolSword: It's practically a requirement to be a main character in this comic.
* {{Excalibur}}: The main plot item of the story is the legendary sword Excalibur, which, when drawn, opens an "Age of Knights", increasing the amount of magical power in the world for humans but also unleashing marauding demons.
* MagicKnight: The comic is all about them.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: The comic's main plot kicks off after [[spoiler: Urien draws Excalibur and tries to let a demon take Sarin's body, Rekki still chooses to become one of his knights]].
* PowerDyesYourHair: In Britannia, the more magic you have, the more bright and unnatural your hair colour will become.
* RedOniBlueOni: Rekki and Sarin play this trope very straight. Rekki is strongly associated with the colour red and is physical and hot-blooded, while Sarin is associated with blue and is hesitant, thoughtful, and more of a magic-user.
* TimeSkip: "Ten Years Later..."
* UnsoundEffect: Examples so far include "Sword." and "Crisps!"
* UrbanFantasy: The comic takes place in a world where there are knights, demons, and magic, but the technology is fairly consistent with our own world, so people tweet (or "sqroll") hot takes about the knights, demons, and magic.
* WorldOfTechnicolorHair: There's barely a person in the comic with a standard hair colour.
